1996 Words
Up in the hills where the angel's resistance was, The group are breakfast in silence trying to figure out how to deal with Crystal who they were certain had started seeing things she wasn't supposed to see, things which might likely change her forever but after few spoons of cereal...Helen started to feel some pain in her chest so she decided to excuse herself but before she got to the room she collapsed falling into a deep sleep almost immediately. Helen woke up in a dark place, everything was pitch black and she couldn't make out anything but she could hear movements. "Hello...is anyone there?" Helen call out but there was no response until all of the sudden limelight shown on her someone who she had grown quite familiar with over the weeks. "Stop doing this...stop invading my subconscious- "Why...afraid your group will figure out you've been conversing with me, scheming with me...come on sister? Do you think I'm going to just stop...since mother has gotten weaker you're the only person I can talk to, sadly because you're kind of boring and you feel threatened by me- "Shouldn't I be? if our brothers could be threatened by your existence...I think I should be scared too" Helen replied fiercely. "Yeah right...you did tell me how awkward they treated you at first thinking you'll turn out like me...sadly" Angelique mocked, laughing jeeringly. Angela looked at Angelique who thought she was making her life miserable and shook her head, how she wished she could tell her everything...how their homes were seized, how their hybrid sister sits on the throne of Angel Bay instead of their mother...but she knew if she let her know everything that was going on...it was quite likely she might not want to help "Why are you looking at me like that?" Angelique frowned watching Helen's expression closely, the sympathetic and guilty look on his face immediately had Angelique guessing that something was wrong somewhere. "There is something you're not telling me, isn't there?" Angelique move closer to Helen but then Helen gasped and woke up to life, she must have forced herself considering if she hadn't, Angelique would have forced her to talk. "We have to work faster...we have to find a way to make my sister's memory surfaced" Helen announced the moment she woke up to live to see her entire group surrounding her. "We are trying all we can- "We need to try harder, I'm going to Crystal's school today...I have to try and convince her somehow. Pearl...have you been practicing?" Helen turned to Pearl who is the Angel of light and was in charge of making her sister's soul surface. "I...um, I'm trying- "Well try harder" Helen frowned while Alex narrowed his gaze at her. "Give us a minute...everyone" Alex requested ushering every of their group members outside then closed the door after them before slowly walking back to the bed where they had moved Helen who was still panting softly. "Except the reason that the queen is being held hostage with other loyal members of the royal court right including my dad...is there any other thing you're not telling me" Alex questioned holding Helen's hands in his. "I...no, I'm fine" Helen nervously responded but Alex wasn't looking so convinced. "Angie- "Alex, trust me everything is fine...I just want to do this as soon as possible so I can return to everyone...Alex everyone did everything they could to get us out of Angel Bay when the fight broke out...even my siblings who haven't been so fond of me...Diamond, Emy, and Amy; fought for our course when we were trying to escape, I don't want to let them down" Helen worried eyes darting in nervousness. "You won't let them down, Angie you're doing all you possibly could right now...stop pushing yourself too hard" Alex calmly told Helen while cupping her cheeks and rubbing them softly in an attempt to calm her down as her entire body suddenly started trembling. "But- "No buts, we can do this" Alex assured optimistically. "Yeah, we can" Helen repeated and Alex nodded bringing her to his warm embrace after which Alex make her stand up and walk into the bathroom to have her bath and put on some clothes but by the time she was approaching downstairs, she felt something was wrong. "What is it? why is everyone looking so gloomy?" Helen asked as everyone's expression looked sombre and worried. "I can't reach my Phoenix" Helen's eyes widened as they figured they've entered another face of losing their powers. Chaos was growing and their power was weakening even faster. Helen concentrated on trying to reach her Phoenix spirit whose name is Mia but then it was like knocking on a blank wall. Every Phoenix Angel had a Phoenix spirit inside of them...one who could make them take the shape of an actual Phoenix, it could lead them strength and allow them to use their powers to the fullest. In the Angel system, Phoenix higher angels are the most powerful of all the Angels and in every 100 higher angels born...only 15 turns out to be a Phoenix angel but then when princess Angela was picking her group; she doesn't know how it happened but she picked only the angels who had a Phoenix spirit in them. Their Phoenix spirit was their companion, their advisor, their friend...they could communicate with them and speak to them as they were an entity of their own but seeing how they couldn't reach their spirits only meant one thing for all of them...there wear at their weakened state. "We have to fend us some Chaos- "We can't do this without our Phoenix spirit...we can't do it alone- "I can't bring princess Angelique back without my spirit" Pearl ruefully relayed and Helen's shudders instantly dropped. "We have to find a way to being our Phoenix back otherwise we'll be stranded, even if we successfully managed to convince Crystal to allow us to suppress her own subconsciousness and bring out that of princess Angelique, I won't be able to do it without combining powers with my Phoenix, I need her- "And how exactly are we planning on doing this?" Helen interjected. "We clear off chaos" Helen laughed at Garnet's suggestion but suddenly changed her expression into a more serious one that got the group worried. "Have you forgotten just how many Angels are always dispersed to fend off shoes?" Helen questioned and they all were frustrated look because they knew too well Helen was right...they were too few in number to deal with it alone. "Well do you have any other solutions because we are all quite open to opinions" Garnet retorted with a frown and Amber his mate had to put an arm over his shoulders to keep him calm. "So, you want to get yourself killed because you can't communicate with your spirit...well guess what, I don't think I want to send you off to your own death with a smile, blame me if you have to but I'm seriously not letting you do this" Helen concluded. "No one is blaming you Angela...we are all trying to look for a solution here and right now you are not providing one by bickering, we are all just trying to think of something," Jasper said in an attempt to calm Helen down and eventually she calmed down as she was already getting really furious. "I know something" Morgan spoke up and all attention immediately drifted to him as he adjusted his position on the white sofa he was seated. Morgan had changed his haircut, rather than the long hair he was wearing in Angel Bay, he was wearing straightened short hair which was properly oiled and combed to the back making him look more like any normal and modern teenage boy which Helen considered great since she doesn't really agree to the guys wearing their hair long. "Lily will be here in three days...we should wait for her- "How's Dylan?" Helen immediately asked since Lily and Helen were together so they'll probably be returning together as well. "He's fine" Helen heaved a heavy sigh of relief on hearing down. Dylan is Helen's ex-boyfriend and also an human angel, an angel who had just 20 percent of angel genes in him...like every other angel he could make himself invincible to humans and also see demons like them but he had no power unlike them or wings. There was three unbreakable system of power followed in Angel Bay. The higher Angels, the lower angels and the human angels. Amongst the higher angels exist the Phoenix angels who were born with a Phoenix companion living inside them, the lower angels have wings, can make themselves invincible but have no powers, the higher angels have powers but have no Phoenix companions like the Phoenix angels but the human angels were the lowest in rank but can be very productive. The lower and human angels make up most of angel civilian population but regardless of this system...all angels are categorized into families. Whether lower or higher or human angels...the family was still a very important factor because every family has their unique importance, the Fotia family controls fire while the Nero family controls water...and each family follows the system of Phoenix, higher angels, lower angels and human angels and Dylan is a human angel from the Fotia family and happens to be Alex's cousin...the two doesn't really see eye to eye because it turns out Dylan still has feelings for Helen which Alex wasn't taking so slightly. "In my opinion, we should wait for them to get here...Dylan being an human angel have less aura and wouldn't be easily spotted by demons, therefore he can put an eye Helen while the rest of us go off to stop the chaos, that way we have higher chances of winning" Morgan had always being an important figure when it comes to making decision for the group since he could see possible futures base on the decision that was being made. "Do you think we'll be able to get our Phoenix back?" Helen inquired and Morgan go quiet trying to check but everything was blank. "I'm not certain but we have higher chances this way- "That sounds very convincing" Hematite muttered under her breath folding her hands against her chest; Helen noticed for the furts time that the love Angel was wearing black shorts and tank top, was she trying to seduce mateless angels with them or what? Helen frowned but decided to ignore her. "Okay, we'll wait...has that being agreed upon." Helen asked because she values all the opinion of her group, that way no one would be uncomfortable with the decision. "Yeah" Everyone muttered in chorus before Helen nodded. "I'll be leaving for Crystal's school now" Helen declared her intention moving to pick a backpack among the stuffs they had dropped in the basement, after cleaning it off she grabbed her purse and her credit card which she attained when she was still leaving as a human. "Do you have to do this?" Alex asked as Helen sat tying her canvas shoe laces. "Yes" Helen sharply answered expecting Alex to come challenge her again anyway. "I have to" With that Helen stood and left the house flying to Hazel field, on getting to the office, she decided to enroll herself after which she promised her brother will come complete her registration in two days since he was out of town, then he started to look for Crystal which she found about to be consumed by a demon that feeds off fear, killing the demon might not be a very smart move because soon they'll start looking for her but it was something she had to do to save Crystal, Crystal also didn't seem to welcome the idea and try all she could to push her away but stopped trying after her mate showed up to make sure she was alright. ...........
