What was about to happen to Aria Bennett, was worse than seeing an ex.
Aria was in her room applying her strawberry lipgloss, looking into the mirror and smacking her lips against each other.
Her room was a reflection of her personality—lavish, polished, and painfully perfect. A giant white canopy bed stood at the center, draped in silk sheets the color of champagne. A crystal chandelier hung above, scattering soft golden light across the marble floor. The walls were lined with framed magazine covers featuring top models, and beside her vanity stood a rack of designer clothes arranged by color and season. The faint scent of vanilla perfume lingered in the air, mixing with the sweetness of her lip gloss.
She had being dressing for school for over two hours, when it comes to fashion and beauty, Aria didn’t joke with it, not to mention she would be the next CEO of a luxurious fashion brand.
Her school driver had being waiting for her for over thirty minutes but Aria doesn’t seem to care. Her beauty and dressing sense came first before any other thing.
Aria was a spoilt rich kid, the heiress of the Bennett fashion empire, one of the biggest and luxurious company in silver heights. She was only seventeen and the next in line to take over the company.
After extra fifteen minutes of making sure she looked her best, Aria threw her silver bag against her shoulder and was ready to leave for school.
She went to her meet her school driver where he stood next to her black limousine.
The entire mansion was quiet and lonely, just the servants attending to their activities. Aria’s younger sister, Ivy was also on her way to enter her own car. Funny fact was that they both had separate car for school with separate drivers, even though they were both attending the same high school.
Ivy was only a year younger than Aria but was very jealous of her and wanted everything the heiress had. They couldn’t stand each for even just a minute and that was the reason for separate cars.
However, Mr and Mrs. Bennett, were both absent parents, they hardly checked up on their two daughters, but made sure everything they need and deserve is provided for. They were hardly ever around, always traveling for businesses or overworking themselves in the company.
Aria, however needed love and attention from her parents, and not just their money but all her complaints always fell on deaf ears.
They arrived at their school, an elite private school, the school where all the rich kids go.
Immediately Aria stepped out of her limousine, all the attention was drawn to her.
Aria Bennett is effortlessly stunning, the kind of beauty that draws attention without trying. With deep brown skin that glows like polished bronze under sunlight, and soft, expressive eyes framed by thick lashes, she carries a quiet confidence. Her long, silky black hair cascades down her back in waves. With her sharp cheekbones and graceful neck.
Her style is classic and refined, often dressed in luxury without being too flashy, exuding elegance from head to toe. But beyond her looks, it's her aura she’s calm, mysterious, and a little distant , that makes her unforgettable. Aria doesn’t just walk into a room, she “owns” it, even when she’s silent, she’s still the most talked about.
She wasn’t just beautiful, but intelligent which often surprises people as they accept her to be beauty without brains. She takes her role as the heir to a very successful company very seriously which leads to her elegant nature.
But while Aria had all the attention focused on her, she focused on someone. As she walked gracefully through the crowded hallway, she kept her head up high, until everything around her seemed to pause.
He walked in.
Adrian Blackwood.
Her breath caught, just for a second.
He looked like he owned the world — tall, composed, with an arrogance that radiated from the slow, confident steps he took. Their eyes met across the hallway. His unreadable gray gaze locked on hers. She felt her stomach twist.
Of all schools, of all places.
Adrain Blackwood was the heir to the Blackwood family. The Blackwood family was the owner of the Blackwood fashion house, a very known and successful fashion brand in silver heights. The Bennett and Blackwood family could never walk on the same route without one planning to kill the other before the other those it first.
The both family have a history dated two generations ago and have being sworn enemies ever since. And now Adrain, the heir of the Blackwood family had being transferred to the same school as Aria. Aria knew that it was her duty to hate Adrain with every fiber of her being, as the heiress to the Bennett family, she had to take everything way too seriously.
During lunch break, Aria sat with her regular circle of three friends, Rose, Anna, and Tracy, pretending to be interested in their gossip while having lunch when there was a massive clash out in the cafeteria.
A dangerously handsome boy stormed into the cafeteria all the way to where a curly haired boy was seated alone eating and he slammed the table.
“Hey you brat.” He called and the boy freaked out. Everyone in the cafeteria watched what was going on, including Aria.
“Hi…hi…”
“Shut the f**k up. Did you seriously think I won’t notice you copied my project?” The bully slashed.
“No… I… I didn’t…” the boy stammered in fear.
“No…no…I didn’t” the handsome boy made of fool of him and continued, “You’re such a pathetic loser.” Then he grabbed the tray in front of the boy and dumped it over his head, everyone in the room gasped, some were shocked while others laughed.
Aria stared at him, now noticing that it was Adrain all along, she had earlier watched in admiration considering the fact that he was extremely handsome forgetting he had similar looks with her sworn enemy.
Their eyes met for a second and he smirked at her, she immediately took her eyes off her and continued to eat even though she had lost complete interest in the food. She was very pissed.
After the break bell rang, Aria and her friends went over to their lockers to get their notebooks. After Aria slammed her locker shut, she gasped in shock on seeing Adrian leaning over the locker beside hers.
“Excuse me.” Aria demanded with so much hate.
“No!” He replied. “I couldn’t help but notice you have an extremely huge crush on me.” Adrian added and Aria eyes widened in amazement.
“Are you drunk?” She retorted.
“Actually, I have being sober for the past two days.” Was his reply to Aria.
“Don’t ever speak to me, ever, again.” Aria strictly warned him and turned away to leave, but Adrian was enjoying whatever was going on.
“Playing hard to get, huh? My favorite. Let’s see how long.” He said behind her, chuckled and turned away to leave.
