The sound of something vibrating wakes me. Blearily, I open my eyes and raise my head. “Mack?” The fingers stroking along my lower back stop. “Don’t move, it’s my phone. I’ll get it.” Sighing, I settle back on the blanket and close my eyes. In seconds, Mack returns, curving his body behind mine and pressing a soft kiss on the back of my shoulder. “It’s a text from Bennett. He said our fathers are preparing to kill each other.” “Hmmm.” I know I should care, but I don’t.
