It took about two hours to get everyone up to speed and everything explained. The whole time Jack didn’t let me go, and the Queen was being guarded by her Kings.
“Oaky, so. You think you can fix Ell’s mate bond that our father made her break when she was a child?” Callum asked. “Even if you do, does this mean our sister is also the Kings mates? And vice versa?”
Samara shook her head. “Nyx and Erebus are separate entities. They belong to each other, while us Wulfkin have our own. I have my triplets, and well…we don’t know about Ell yet.”
“This is weird, and kind of hot.” Royce said with a shrug.
Ranger snorted. “It was strange, I didn’t feel pain when they were playing together.”
“What did you feel?” Samara asked with a raised eyebrow.
“Pleasure.” Red said shaking his head.
She giggled. “Oh.”
“Back to the point at hand.” Callum said, trying to figure out things.
Samara smiled and nodded. “I just have to take a quick peak at her mate bond and see what I can do.”
“If you can manipulate the mate bonds, can you sever Nyx’s and Erebus’s?” Senan asked form in the corner.
A pain was sent right through me at the mere mention, as did for Samara. I shook my head, and so did she.
“No, even if I could. I will not. It would put me and Ell in so much pain I can’t even imagine it. Not to mention that Nyx and Erebus are Goddesses, using Nyx’s power is how I can even manipulate the bonds. If I break her divine mating, I might not even have a wolf left over. Same for Ell.” Samara said sternly, making sure they know she was by no means going to break the bond.
I let out a deep breath. “I won’t separate with Erebus just because of her mate being Nyx. IT’s something that’s existed longer than us Wulfkin have. You don’t understand, Nyx and Erebus are our ‘Moon Goddess’. Their love spawned the Omega’s and the Alpha’s, we should be cherishing their love, not thinking about breaking it.”
‘You are such a good little wolf, Ell. I’m honored to have you as my host.’ Erebus said, cuddling up to me in my head.
Samara let out a moan, then looked slightly irritated. “Sorry, that was Nyx’s fault. She’s over the moon with Ell and Erebus. Not to mention the Knots…I’m going to shut up now.”
Royce chuckled. “Your Nyx is a dirty minded Goddess.”
Samara let out a deep sigh. “You have no idea.”
I giggled. “The opposite of Erebus.”
“Exactly.” Samara said looking into my eyes.
It was hard to fathom, but Samara made me feel similar to what I felt with Jack. Not as strong, but the attraction was there.
“Okay, enough chit chat. I wanna see who Ell is mated too. I need you and your Alpha to separate for a moment. I’ll be right back.” Samara said closing her eyes.
Samara P.O.V
It was hard concentrating on anything that wasn’t Ell. Nyx’s need to mate with Erebus was all consuming, and it was a mess trying to get her to understand that this was too much to put on everyone.
‘What are you talking about Samara? We can’t let them leave.’ Nyx said shaking her head.
I groaned. ‘Ell and this whole pack have a territory they watch over. We can’t make them stay because Erebus is her wolf. That’s not fair to her, or her mate, or the triplets. No, Nyx. I’m going to fix her mate bond and then they are going to help us with the rouge thing, and then they are going home.’
Nyx growled. ‘Why? Ell is going to always want us. You’ll always want her.’
‘Because I love my Kings. So do you. We haven’t even heard their opinions on this, Nyx. We haven’t even heard Erebus’s. So, before you go making plans in your head, let’s just get this done.’ I told her shaking my head and attempting to ignore anything else she was going to say.
I opened my eyes to see the room, finding Ell was easy. There faintly, was a thin mate bond attached. How did I never notice this?
‘It wasn’t established because Erebus suppressed herself deep in Ell, resulting in that defect that she cannot fully turn into her wolf. You wouldn’t have seen the bond until Erebus came back to the surface.’ Nyx said, still sounding upset.
‘Oh. Simple enough I guess. Hey look at that.’ I pointed out Ell’s true mate bond. ‘Look, it’s ripped, but still there.’
Ell looked so innocent standing there away from everyone. Connected to her right wrist was a shredded dull red bond. It was so damaged, it nearly brought tears to my eyes. I reached out to take it gently in my hand.
‘That’s really bad.’ Nyx said quietly.
I nodded. ‘Yeah, but I can fix it. I wouldn’t be given this ability if I couldn’t use it to help someone who’s bond really needed it.’
I glanced down the bond and saw it was indeed attached to the wolf at her side constantly.
‘His name is Jack, Sam.’ Nyx said with an eyeroll.
‘Ah, thanks, Nyx.’ I said reaching down to rub lightly against the top, watching as it lit up. ‘Come on bond. You know you wanna exist.’
Slowly, I watched the threads snap back together. It was taking forever, but it was healing. While we did this, it gave Nyx plenty of time to hound me some more about her mate.
‘What’s wrong with just asking them if they wanted to stay? Callum is the Alpha of that pack, not Jack. Here in Alaska, we could give him territory to have a pack on. That way, me and Erebus are close enough that we can see each other occasionally and just feel each other from afar.’ Nyx chimed in.
I rolled my eyes at her. ‘I’m busy Nyx.’
‘Tell me you don’t feel utterly complete now they arrived. Tell me it hasn’t been in the back of your mind. What if our husbands don’t care? It’s not like Ell can get you pregnant.’ Nyx pointed out like it was a hard fact.
‘Nyx, stop. You are such a horn dog. Can I please get done doing this?’ I said glaring at her in my head.
She groaned. ‘Fine, whatever.’
I did my thing and restored the bond to its original color, strength, and durability. Then looked down to see another one in need of attention. Her Alpha brother had one that was grey and broken. Something must have happened to his first mate, and that made me sad. Here I was with four. He couldn’t even get one. I glanced around the room and then something got me.
Holly!
She had decided to come home with us, but the hustle bustle of the largest pack in the world got to her all the time. I had to ask her about it. Then see if they want to meet.
‘Okay, I guess I’m done here.’ I said with a shrug.
Nyx nearly jumped out of us. ‘Please think about it, and talk about it with everyone.’
I huffed. ‘I’ll think about it.’
When I reopened my eyes, I saw Ell and Jack staring at each other.
