Chapter 7: True Luna

Matthew's POV

She is peacefully sleeping in my arms. She is just the real definition of perfection. I look down at her, she is curled up in my chest. Her breaths are steady. I hear her heart bit. I stroke a piece of hear behind her ear so that I could see perfectly her face.

-5 hours earlier-

Alexis's POV

After Mat stormed off the room. I started hearing crashing noises. I decided to sneak out of the house and give Mat some alone time. I walked around the pack territory and greeted everyone. Some wolves would bow their heads at me as a sing of respect. But sometimes I would gain dirty glares from she-wolves. I'm guessing they are not that happy that their handsome Alpha found his mate. As I kept walking around, I found myself up front a nursery. I open the front doors and saw so many little wolves running around. As they felt my presence they all stopped and looked at me. Then I see a young lady walk out of a room. She looked so nice and had this positive aura all around her. "Oh, Luna" she look surprised to see me. 

"I didn't knew we would be having you" she looked down

"Oh, don't worry. I was just looking around the pack territory and just ended up here." I explained to her.  She nodded her head and grabbed my hand and walk me towards the little kids that resumed to play around.

"Guys" she called out to the kids. "Look who came to visit us!" she said with excitement. The kids analyzed me. I kneel down and stretched my arms to one little puppy. He came and gave me a hug. "Who are you miss?" he asked as he pulls out of my hug. "Well little puppies I'm your Luna" they all looked at each other and then came running towards me, while cheering.

I spent a good amount of my time with the little puppies that I had forgotten that I left Mat alone destroying the house. As I get up from the floor, since I was playing with the kids, a mind link from Conrad came through. "Please every pack member enter there closest house and don't leave under any circumstance, until further notice." I knew in an instant that we were under attack. But I just couldn't wrap the idea of who would be so stupid to attack the most powerful pack on this lands. I look at Samantha and she looked at me. She mind linked me and just told me to keep on playing with the pups. And so I did what I was told.

I hear the front door slam open and I see three man walk in. "Hey Luca, Seba, Conrad I could really us your help with the pups" I say as I approach them. "Sorry hun, not going to happen" said one of the men. That's when I notice those weren't pack members. One of the men pushed me out of the way causing me to hit the wall and then the floor. I recovered quickly since I have Alpha blood in my system.

I see that they have made their way into the living room, where all the pups where. I see as they are all gather by a corner and I could see in their innocent faces terror. Samantha was shielding the kids, but one of the guys got to her neck and pushed her into a wall. One of the guys grabbed by the arm one of the kids and that's when I snapped out off my trance. I rushed over to the kids and grabbed the kid's arm and looked dead into the mans eyes. He looked at me and laughed. He let go of the kid's arm and the kid rushed into my arms as I gave him a firm hug. "Leave the pups alone" I say as I stand up. The guy looks at me and chuckle to his "buddies" I cross my arms around my chest and resumed to look at them dead in the eye. "You must be the Luna"he said as he licked his lisps. I cringe at the sight.

"Yes I am the Luna and so what?!" I say

"Let's make a deal, princess" he said as he looked deep into my eyes

"You come with us and I leave the kids and this pack alone" he says. I didn't hesitate to answer at his offer. "Deal" he chuckles "More Luna you couldn't be" he says as he rolled his eyes "Risking your own life for the safety of the pack" he says as he grabbed my arm and led me out of the building. I see that the streets are empty. All of our warriors most be at the border lines, defending the pack.

As we where about to set foot out of the pack's territory, a large growl erupted down my ears. The only growl that could send shivers down my spine. I turn around and look at this massive black wolf. I knew in an instant that it was Matthew. His eyes were pitch black, and that was a sing that this would end in a blood bath if this guys don't let go of me. I see as Mat snarled at the guys, showing his big canines. The guys pushed me into a tree and I couldn't recover as fast as I would have wanted. I see as Mat charched into the guy that threw me into the tree. He ripped him into pieces. The other two guys shifted in mid air and both pounced on top of Mat making him whimper in pain. Mat grabbed one of the wolves tail and lunched him into a tree and then he crushed his ribs, with his massive paws. He grabbed the other wolf by the neck and with enough pressure, the wolf's neck snapped inside of Mat's mouth.

He let's go of the wolf's lifeless body and started walking in my direction. He licked my face. He helped me get up. And we walked together to the house. I walked up the stairs and went into the bathroom, to get a bath. After a long and warm bath. I walked out of the bathroom, and to my surprised I see  Matthew laying on the bed looking at the ceiling. I just stood there. He looked lost in his own thoughts.

Matthew's POV

I noticed Alexis's presence and  I just looked at her. The thought of loosing her came across my mind. I just couldn't bare with the fact that I almost lost her. I stood up from the bed and walked in her direction. The only thing that crossed my mind was to just wrap my hands around her body and to never let her go, and so I did. I gave her a hug, and before I could notice I was tearing up.

"I thought I lost you" I say though my sobs. She looks up and wipes my tears.

"I'm sorry I left the house. I just thought that you would have liked some alone time" she explains to me as I just tight my grip around her.

"It's not your fault. I just thought I will lost you" I say as I look down at her. "How did they got to you?" I asked afraid of the answer.

"I was with the orphans, and they came threw the doors, and they were going to take a kid, and I made a deal with them, that if I left with them, they would leave the pack and the kids alone." she says through sobs. I look at her and lifted her chin.

"You did that for the pack?" I ask shocked

"Well yeah, this is my pack as much as is it yours. And I protect what is mine" she tells me as she crosses her arms.  I smirk at her actions and I kiss her forehead.

"What was that for?" she asked me

"You truly are a Luna" I say

" And because I love you" I say as I kiss her
