Chapter 2: Friends

I entered the school and walk among all the werewolves. I notice my best friends curly dark brown hair. I walk up to her and throw myself on to her. She laughs as she knows it's me. "You are looking extra fine today honey bun" she says. I love her with all my heart. She being the daughter of our packs Beta, well it just clicked for us. We have been best friends since we could walk.

"You know it Lola" I say as I wink at her.

"Are you ready for tomorrow Alexis?!" s**t, I totally forgot.

"I forgot" I say, and that's when hell was brought to my face.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU "FORGOT"? This is the most important party in the whole universe for a werewolf." She says as she made a pissed face.

"I know, I know. But I know that you will do my makeup" I tell her, calming her down.

"Well of course honey, you are a disaster doing your makeup" she says and I giggle. We keep talking as we walk to our first class. Math. The mental abuse to the people. I hate it. I space out and start thinking about tomorrow's party. The famous "New Moon" Gala. The Gala that every werewolf waits their entire life. This party consists of werewolves that come together to the same place and well have a party. But the party is really about finding your mate. Your soulmate. Your everything. You get the idea. My thoughts leave me as I hear the bell dismissing us from our first period.

The day went on. And it was finally lunch. Lola drag me to the cafeteria to get the good stuff. When we finally fill our plates with plenty of food. We go and sit down with my brother, his friend Jake and my guy best friend Leo. We sat and had our lunch happy. "Well look what we have here, the Alpha's pathetic daughter" said the most annoying voice ever. The b***h of the school Claudia. I heard a growl come from Mateo and Leo, I looked at them to calm them down, and that I will handle this. I stand up facing her.

"What the hell do you want Claudia" I say trying not to break her neck right here in front of everyone.

"Just because you are the Alpha's daughter, doesn't mean that you can walk all over us" she says as I can't keep it together. I burst into a laugh. Which was fallowed with almost everyone's else laugh.

"What the hell are you laughing about?" She sounds pissed.

"Are you sure you are talking about me? Because it sure sounded like you were referring to yourself" I say as I giggle. She stumps her foot to the floor and slapped me. SLAPPED ME! The whole cafeteria went silent.

"Oh, honey you shouldn't have done that" said Lola behind me while putting a chip onto her mouth.

"You should have kept your hands to yourself" I say and before she can process what I just said I punched her on the nose. Knowing well that I just broke it.

"I hope your mate loves you when he sees you with a broken nose tomorrow" I say as I giggle

"You are going to let her talk to me like that Mateo?" She asks my brother as she holds her bloody nose.

"You should have kept your hands to yourself Claudia" he says, making her more angry which led to her leaving. All the cafeteria burst into laughter and cheered my name. After that I set down and Leo put his arm around me and said " that's my girl, don't mess with her, or you will get a bloody nose from her" as he finished he gave me a kiss in the forehead and I just forgot my problems. After that, the day passed quickly, and it was time to go home. I hoped into the car and looked at Mateo. He knew that I didn't want to get home. But we had to, he looked at me and putted his arm around me "how about I sleep with you tonight? Mhm, how does that sound?" He says as he watched my eyes grow. I pitched a scream and gave him a bear hug. He is the best brother out there.

We got home and eat dinner as a "normal" family. But deep down I was dying and the only person that knew that was my brother. After dinner, as I was walking up the stairs I gave one last look at Mateo and he winked at me, meaning that he will go to my room in a bit. As 10 minutes passed I heard two voices on the hallway. So I pressed my ear to the door.

"Where do you think you are going with that pillow?" Asked my father

"I'm going to sleep with Alexis" said my brother calmly. But I know that it hurt him to speak to my father. Well "that" man.

"The hell you are not! She is a grown up wolf, she doesn't need her brother sleeping next to her" "that" man said as he chuckled.

"I know. But I will like to spend the night with her. We don't know, maybe she will find her mate tomorrow and move to a far far place from here." he says, knowing that it will piss him off. I sat down on my bed, looking at my hands, hoping that my mate will find me tomorrow. Then I hear my door open and I let out a sigh knowing it was just Mateo. I hug him and I just wouldn't dare to let go of him.
