I Hate/Love this Mafia Man

They meet

I run up the stairs and into my office where Nino, Paolo, Lorenzo Franco, Francesco, Gianni, and Dante are waiting on me. They all look at me with serious and worried expressions at my entrance. “What happened Capo” asks Nino. “Cosimo” says Enzo walking in and shutting the door. His answer is met with wide eyes and silence. 

“I thought he was dead” say Franco and Francesco, the only other twins in the room.  “Apparently he was just hiding” I say in a tight angry voice. “What made him come out after all this time though, he obviously wants something from you but what?” asks Dante getting straight to the point as always. “I don't know but we need to find out soon” I say looking at everyone in the room. “From this point on everyone in this room doesn't move without letting me or Enzo know who what where and why.  Until I have his head none of us are safe. Dante.. Maria is going to have to…” “I know, I'm already on it Mil '' he interrupts using the nickname only he's allowed to call me. I've known him my whole life, and trust him with my life. I start thinking of how I used to watch him go off with my Papa on various missions growing up and waiting for the day I could go too. My thoughts are interrupted when I hear a woman yelling and see Dante with an exhausted face on the phone with Maria “Yes mi amore (my love), I know but it's for your safety….. I know….Yes…. I promise I will make it up to you… yes… ok….. Ti amo.” He hangs up the phone with a deep sigh and looks up at the ceiling “If I don't make it back….. It was Maria.” We all laugh at this and I get up giving him a clap on the shoulder “I love you like a brother…. But if she offs you I will NOT avenge you. I'd rather deal with 1000 Cosimos than your angry wife.” I say walking out to the front door. “I thought we were family! I do all this for him and he just feeds me to the she wolf” he grumbles. I just laugh as I walk out the house with Enzo and head out for dinner at a new restaurant in the city.

 “Should we try to take it?” asks Enzo as we pull in seeing the big beautiful building that looks more like a*****e on the outside than a restaurant. We could always use another place for my operations but first I want to see who owns it. “Ka...desha’s huh? Let's go see what she has to offer brother” I say with a smirk.

Once inside I admire the high ceilings and beautifully decorated foyer area. “Wow” says Enzo. There are a few people standing talking, but we pass them heading to the hostess. Immediately she has wide eyes recognizing us both. Then again it's hard to miss two 6’6 Medium/Dark brown Italians in suits anywhere. “C-Can I h-help you t-t-two?” she stutters. I'm about to answer when a beautiful voice interrupts me “Hey Angela, do you know where… oh i'm sorry I didn't realize you were helping customers!” says the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. She’s a full head shorter than me, curvy, smooth dark brown skin, with a beautiful smile. 

“Hello, welcome to Kadesha’s I’m Kadesha, did you make a reservation?” she asks in a cheerful voice. I just smile and say “Yes, under D’Amico, I'm Emiliano, this is my brother Enzo”. She reaches out to shake my hand and I pull hers up to my lips for a kiss. Enzo does the same and winks at her and the hostess, I just roll my eyes at him and give my attention back to the goddess in front of me. “So I’ve heard a lot of great things about this place and decided to give it a try. I hope it lives up to all of the praise.” I say to her. She looks at me with slight shock before straightening herself up and saying “I hope we exceed all expectations you have, come let me show you to your table”.

“Your waiter will be here shortly to take care of you gentlemen. It was a pleasure meeting you both.” She says. “I was hoping you would sit and eat with us bella (beautiful).” I tell her with a grin. “Well I have many things to do so I can’t join you tonight. Have a good evening” She says then turns to walk away. “I think you should stay and eat” I say with an impatient tone. I'm used to people just doing what I say the first time so her turning me down and walking away is not okay with me. “And I said I can't because I am busy. I would think you would understand but since you cant let me remind you I own this place and the bakery connected to it. I don't have time right now to sit and eat with you because I already have plans in regards to my businesses. You of all people should understand how much time businesses can take up of your life Mr D’Amico.” She says with an arched brow. I look at Enzo and he has that i***t smile of his beaming at her. I just look at her and say “Just sit, eat then you can go play boss.” I hear Enzo's gasp beside me and then a few clicks of Kadesha’s heels before she's right in front of me. “I know exactly who you are but quite frankly I dont give a damn Emiliano (sarcasm) . You think you can just walk up in here and talk to me any kind of way in MY RESTAURANT. Then you tell me to sit like I a dog or some rassclaat….” she stops to take a deep breath then looks at me. All I can think of is her accent change… and how much I want to hear it again. “Look, you guys can stay and eat but leave me the f**k alone. Then when you're done you” She looks me in the eyes “DON’T come back.” I narrow my eyes at her after this, but she turns to Enzo and says “You can come back anytime though” with a wink. Then she walks away and talks to a waiter who looks at our table then comes to serve us. The whole time I'm speechless….And hard.

The food was AMAZING. It was like homemade food in a five star restaurant. “I have to convince her to let me come back,” I tell Enzo. He drops his fork onto his desert plate and looks at me with a shock “You’re ASKING her??!!.” I sigh “Yes…shut up..I can't help it. There's something about her, I want her to be the one.” I tell him seriously. He smiles, “Yea, I think she might be, but at least she already likes me. It's you who has to win her over.” I groan and cover my face then I hear heels clicking a meter or two away “Oh, are you ok?! Did  you have an allergy or something??!! Do you need an ambulance? What did you eat Emil?!” I look up confused at the woman who just was yelling at me and is now very concerned. I'm also very pleased with her giving me a nickname already.  “Well, are you ok? Why were you groaning like that?!!” She asks, serious as ever. I take one of her hands and kiss it “I’m fine Reina (Queen), my brother just gave me unfortunate news. I'm glad to see you care for me and are no longer mad at me amore (Love).” She sighs with relief then rolls her eyes and folds her arms taking her hand away. “ 1. I'm still mad. 2. You're still banned 3. I just didn't want you dying in my restaurant… it's bad for business.” Enzo, the asshole, laughs….like actually laughs at her. She blushes at him and looks away when he stops to wink and say “Good one mia amore”. 

I just look at them both then grab her hand, kiss it  and say “I’m sorry Kadesha. I should not have tried to force you to do anything in your own place. I just find you very interesting and want your company to get to know you better. If I have overstepped then please forgive me.” I can practically hear Enzo’s jaw hit the floor beside me but I keep my focus on HER. “Wow Emil...I take it apologizing isn't an everyday thing for you judging by your own twins' reaction,” she giggles. I already feel like I need to hear the sound over and over again. “So….” I say rubbing my thumb over her fingers giving her my best smile showing off my dimples. “Ok, ok, ok put the dimples away. You can come back, but just remember this in MY restaurant. Out there you may be a boss, but in here...it’s me. But don't worry if you forget i'll be GLAD to remind you,” she says with her own smile. “Grazie mia bella Reina (Thank you my beautiful Queen)” I say getting up and hugging her to my body. I take a deep breath inhaling her sweet, but not overly sweet perfume and bend down to whisper in her ear “It was amazing, but next time I would love to spend that time with you next to me. Would you be able to join me for dinner tomorrow Kadesha? (Making his accent thicker/saying it with emphasis)” She takes a deep shaky breath then shyly says “Yes, I would love to. Just remember to not be bossy” she grins on the last part. I grin back and shrug, “I will try but no promises.” Enzo gets up and pulls her to him for a hug saying he can't wait until tomorrow. She steps back and looks at us both with a raised brow “So this is a double date or a date between us three?” 

Enzo and I share a look “Us three” we say in unison. “Oh, ok….um so you both want to….” she starts blushing and doesn't finish. “We both step up to her and I say “Were twins, we've shared everything from the beginning in our mothers belly. So yes we BOTH want YOU to be OURS. Will you agree to that or at least come out with us tomorrow and go from there?”

She's quiet for a while before I hear a quiet “OK, we can go out tomorrow”  come from her. Enzo and I share a smile before saying our goodnights to our new woman. Well she's not our YET.... but hey.
