I was thinking about him as I was going back home. I have to go back home to see my mother. The person I have been hiding from knows my whereabouts. I don't think there's anything to hide anymore. I have to face all the consequences, since no one shares the money with me except my family. I'm not surprised to see Trent, but what is he doing with my family lawyer? I can't stop thinking about that too. What's the relationship between the two men that I don't know about? I think I have made the biggest mistake of my life. I saw the two evidently walking side by side before taking a cab. I don't know if the lawyer was there when I ruined Trent party. No! He can't be there. I will definitely see him if he is there with them. What if he decided not to talk on that day? I'm just confused at the moment about who can help me out with the situation I am in myself too. I don't think I should blame myself for the action I took. At least I can do something on my own and send my siblings back to school. It wouldn't have been easy doing those things if not for what I did. It's my mistake and I am ready to face the consequences. I got to my mother's house as soon as possible. I haven't seen her since the time I left home for Canada because of what I did to Trent, but there's no need to do that anymore. I'm not sure if Trent has seen me but the receptionist says he likes my designs. Maybe he only sees the designs and not me. Well, I have to face the consequences no matter what happens. I knocked on the door. As soon as I got to the doorstep, my brother opened the door and was excited to see me. "Wow! I can't believe you're around" he said as he hugged me. I'm happy to see them again after leaving them for so many years without looking back. Everyone is happy to see me after a long time. I could see the smile on their faces and how excited they were. I don't need to be told it shows all over their faces. "How are you Sandra?" My mother said, smiling. "I'm very fine. How have you been?" I asked. "Everything is fine and good" she replied. I was looking around the house when she remembered that someone she knew had seen my father's secretary in Canada in one of the companies my father has in Canada. "Really! My father has a company in Canada?" I asked surprisingly. I didn't know he had a company in Canada. He didn't tell me anything about it when he was alive and how could I have known that he had one over there? "Do you know where the company is?" I asked. "I think I do. I have a description of the place. I will hand it over to you when you are going back" she replied. "Can't you give me it now" I shouted a little. I'm just anxious to know where the company is in Canada. There's nothing I can do about it. I'm sure Trent has everything it takes to own a company since he is from a wealthy background. "I'll give you all you need when going back to Canada" she insisted. Well, I don't have any choice but to wait till I go back. Besides, there's nothing I can do about it, since our family lawyer is not ready to help us out of our predicaments. I'm doing fine and my family is fine too. There's no need to pay any lawyer to retrieve our properties for us. But I just want to know where my father's property is. I was about to go to my room to freshen up when one of my brothers said something about the property. "We can't let go of our father's property, we'll fight till we retrieve them" he said. I looked back and walked towards him. What did he have to fight at the moment? He doesn't have personal savings and how does he fight where there is no money? "There's no need to fight anyone anymore, we are living fine and well" I said calmly. "No! I know you won't support that because it's your money, but I will fight when I have the money" he said. I was surprised to hear that from him. I always support them each time they need my assistance, no matter what the situation may be. "Do you mean I am not supportive enough!" I said, looking at my mother. "No! That's not what I am saying. I just want to let you know that if you fail to retrieve those properties, my brothers and I will do that when the time comes", he said, walking back to his room. I'm destabilized at the moment, I don't know what to do. I have issues I am thinking about and now my brother is adding to them. I don't think it's necessary to do what he is saying anymore. I know that's what he will do, he is a man of his word just like my father, but the task is too heavy for me. I don't think I can do it. "What's your decision about what your brother said?" My mother asked. "Mom! Don't tell me you're supporting them as well?" I said anxiously. "I'm not saying anything, I just want to know where you stand" my mother replied. I don't know what my response should be. I walked very fast to my room and sat on the bed thinking of what to do. No one is supporting me this time, not even my mother. I don't know why everyone doesn't like me in the family. The same way, they want me to get married to a lawyer without my consent. I love my family but I want to be more focused on my career than anything else.
