Choose Me Or No Else

I didn’t leave the spot am working until he got out of the company building. I need to be very careful whenever am working. I don't know what he will do when he meets me.

I went out to make sure he was gone. I looked right and left even when I know that he has gone. I can't believe that I can meet him again despite relocating to a very far place from where we were at that time.

I rush to the receptionist office to be sure if he is the one or someone else.

"Who's that man?" I asked the receptionist.

"He's Trent, he's the CEO of our company. He is going to our main office. Hope no problem?" Steve replied.

"Does he come here often?" I ask.

"Once in a while" Steve replied.

I'm not feeling too excited by his response, I was thinking of doing what I wanted to do in the office as soon as possible before he gets to Know about me.

"Well, he love your service and he is requesting for your service in our main office. I think he's going to your company to seal the deal" Steve said seriously. I was shocked.

I can't believe what Steve is saying at the moment, how could this happened. If he's able to seal the deal, I will be the one to take the task, no one else. I was lost in thought when j heard Steve speaking

" You are now famous than any other interior designer. You've been seen on television station and your designs are everywhere. We always go for good things in our company. We just don't give contract out without making our findings about the person. We were aware that you have won a numerous awards over the years and there's no one else we can give the contract to" Steve said boldly with smiles on his face

I can't just believe what he is saying, I know am competent enough to take the task upon me but I know what I have done to the man in question. He might seize the opportunity to revenge and I don't know what is in his mind.

Is it that he wanted to get the service or he has another thing on his mind that no one knows about?

I'm more scared than ever because I don't know what his actions will be. Working for his company is a major boast of my achievement because the company has more than five branches in Canada and it's one of the biggest company people reckon with.

I should I reject the offer or send someone else to the place to take the task?

What if the person did not do it as expected?

All these run through my mind, but I have to make my decisions before the time comes. I don't know if he is married and I don't want to ask Steve so he won't be suspecting anything.

"Why are you worried? I believe you can do it well", Steve said.

"I'm not worried Steve, I am just looking at my work schedule at the moment" I replied.

"Forget about any other job you have at hand presently, I know what my boss is capable of doing. He will pay more than your expectations. Declining won't help your company" he said.

"I know the reputation of your company. Everyone wants to work with you but there are factors to consider as a professional", I said.

"You have to think about it" Steve said.

I nodded my head with a smile. I'm damn confused about the offer but I think I should take it up. I don't know his plan but I am sure that the offer is more than what he needed. He is company. It goes beyond that. It might be his time to take revenge for what I did and that would be the worst part of it. I have to face it. It's my cross and I have to carry it like Jesus did. That's the only option. I will accept whatever happens to me because I know I caused everything. Dora won't know what I am passing through right now. She has paid but her hand is clean, but my heart is full with guilt.

"Okay, I will take the task. Don't worry, I will give it my best" I said, smiling.

"Yeah! I trust you. I know what you can do", Steve said excitedly.

There's no where I can hide. I will face whatever happens to me. If it goes well, it will be fine and otherwise, it will be a lesson.

Steve gave me a sample of what his boss wanted to do in the main office. He is so confident that I can achieve it through my talent and determination.

I took a deep look at the design, which requires special attention, because I have not done anything of such in the past. I asked if I could get a copy of it so I could study it well. Steve made a copy for me through the machine. He handed it over to me with a smile.

"I believe you can do it" he said.

I wasn't comfortable with his actions. I've to think outside of the box right now. Maybe Steve will be hired to convince me to take the job. I think there's more to his actions at the moment.

"Do you have a problem with what you are seeing?" He asked.

"Maybe, I think with time I will get everything" I replied.

"See you tomorrow" he said.

I think I should focus more on the job than what I did to Trent. The job is more important than what I have done in the past. I can always apologize for my actions, but what if he doesn't recognize my face anymore?

I'm not sure if he will recognize me, but if he does, it's fine and I will face everything that happened to me.
