Ghost

EPISODE 5 I walk slowly, several questions popping into my head. I am not psychologically ill. I believe what I see, and the truth is right here in front of my eyes. I am not dumb. I do correctly remember holding it while nodding. "Well, I should better sleep, or I'll go insane." Leaving the kitchen, I enter my bedroom, place the book on my desk, and move into bed. I fall asleep. Shining light kisses my skin as I slowly open my eyes and see a blurry person right on top of my face. With a scream, I grab a cushion, hitting the person and quickly climbing out of the bed before my foot hits the hard edge of the bed. I fall onto the floor with a thudding sound. A loud crack of laughter bursts out, and I turn my head to see that it's Alice. Oh! Thank God, I say to myself. "Alice, I am gonna kill you! Who the hell breaks into someone's apartment early in the morning and scares them?" Alice says, "Well, you're not someone, and it's not early morning. It's already nine fifteen." "So what?" I say. "I think you need a memory charger, Lisa. It's the weekend, remember? We planned to go to the beach." "I am so sorry, Alice. It really slipped my mind." "It's okay, babes. Now quickly get a shower and dress up for some fun. I bet you're going to break a lot of hearts today at the beach." "Fine. I will be ready in 20 minutes." Alice leaves, and I go to the bathroom to take a quick shower and dress up in an off-white maxi, 'cause that fits my style. Giving myself a final look while applying sunscreen, I am ready. I step out of the bathroom, grab my bag, and leave the bedroom. I enter the living room and see Alice in a black bikini with a thin white shirt and a sarong wrapped around her waist. "Alice, you look incredible," I say. "Thank you." Staring at me, she says, "Well, I was expecting you to wear the same, but you look hot in this too." "Aww... Thanks. Let's go," she says as we leave our apartment. We go down by the lift. Once we are out, my mouth parts as I see the black Porsche, which is owned by none other than my friend Alice. Well, I can say I am quite lucky to have Alice as my friend. She's wealthy but never shows off, especially in our friendship. That's what I like about Alice. Waving a hand in front of my face, she says, "Are you there?" I say, "Yeah, let's go." Like a quick flash of light, we sit in the car and buckle ourselves up. Alice starts the car, and we leave our apartment, heading towards the beach. I ask, "So, what's the plan?" Alice says, "We'll have breakfast at the glided spoon restaurant , and later have some fun on the beach." "Okay, that sounds interesting." "Yeah, my plans never fail," says Alice with a smile. "Should we play some music?" I say to Alice. "Why not?" she says. I click the button on the right side of the steering wheel. We listen to music quietly as my thoughts shift to what happened last night. I decide to ask Alice about this, but not directly. Clearing my throat, I say, "Alice, have you encountered something this strange, like you left your car keys on the bed and later found them somewhere else, like on your couch?" Alice says, "Yes." "What? Really? Who was it?" "Who else? A ghost." "You... you believe in these things?" I say. Alice starts laughing. "Not really. I was joking. It's spiky." "What?" And we both burst into laughter.
