Laura’s POV I stare in front of me over the lake, defeated and in so much pain that my mother would frame her own daughter. I try to understand why? Does she love Jade’s father for doing it? Or does she do it for the money? Maybe she got threatened? Maybe Jade’s father threatened to take Jeremy away from her. He is, after all, his son. I still haven’t wrapped my head around that. I wonder how my father reacted when he found out? Or did he know all along? I try to see the positive in this situation, but none of it makes sense.
