Adelaide kept glancing at Flint. Something didn’t feel right. Her hands were shaking as she clutched the letter from Renee in her pocket. When she saw Flint walk away from the others to gather firewood, she followed him quietly. “Flint,” she called. He turned to her. “Yeah?” “Come with me,” she said, grabbing his arm. Flint looked confused but allowed her to lead him deeper into the forest, away from everyone else. Once they were alone, Adelaide stopped and turned to face him.
