Chapter 17

Aurora

I look over to both my mates and I know this is about ot be really hard for them to hear and I am trying to think of any way I could make it easier on them as I do not want to see them in pain. I am also scared that once they hear everything they are going to reject me, I just need them to be closer to me so I can make it trough this. “Elijah, Isiah, I think you two well and me would feel much better if you hop on the bed with me for this. I am going to need your strength and you are not going to be happy with everything you are about to hear so you might want to be closer to stay calm.” They looked at each other and then went to get on the bed. That was easier said then done hospital beds were not meant to fit 3 people let alone two giant alphas. We ended up with me sitting on Elijah’s lap, who was still upset he hasn’t gotten a kiss yet, with my feet tossed over Isiah who was rubbing them. Jonas came and sat at the head of the bed next to Isiah as I told the king he will need to fill in the gaps that I cannot.

With us all seated and settled I started my story from the beginning, I told them about the way I grew up and my mother and the Luna. Then I got to the meat of the story, what I knew they were all waiting to hear the incident that started all of this. I explain everything to the king with my mates griping my hands giving me their support. I let them know about going to the dress shop about my mom and the Luna sensing the attack, telling me they were after me and I needed to run, how they said they mind linked for help to come and about the wolf that attacked me and made me shift earlier than I was supposed to. The king sat their and stared at me I knew they all had questions but I passed the second part of this story off to Jonas, as he was apart of the warrior team that showed up when we were found and could give better information than myself. I can feel the tears starting to fall down my face as my mates wipe them off. We aren’t even half way done with what has happened and I’m already crying. I have to stay strong. I turn to my mates “Thank you guys I’ll be ok this is just bringing up a lot of emotions but Jonas knows what happened as he was there and found me in the woods so I will let him continue for this aftermath and than I will go into the rest” my mates just puled me closer to their bodies, their body heat felt amazing and was helping to keep me calm.

Jonas

After Aurora finished telling her story up until she passed out she looked over to me to finish the rest of what happened that day. I give her a smile and turn to the king. “I know you all are going to start having a lot of questions after I explain what happened once I arrived me and Aurora will answer any questions you may have up to this point and then we can continue on if that is ok with you King and princes?” They all looked at each other but the king spoke “yes that will be ok and Jonas please while it is the 5 of us you do not need to use titles, I can see how much you mean to my daughter in law and I feel like you are more a dad to her than her own based off of what I am hearing so please call me Damon as we are all family here and we need to be comfortable and open while we are discussing all of this” I nodded and then continues the story from where Aurora left off “So as Aurora said we were notified there was an attack by Auroras mom our Beta female Lita, She informed our beta we needed to get to them as they were surrounded, they were around 5km away from the pack boarder. The Alpha and Beta took me and 15 other men and we shifted and ran into the woods as fast as we could to try and reach them in time. By the time we arrived the Luna and the Beta female they were dead, we couldn’t scent any rogues and we couldn’t find Aurora, I followed her scent and tracked her to a clearing where she was lying there naked. I could tell she had shifted, and her birthday wasn’t for another 2 weeks she shouldn’t have been able to shift yet, but whatever happened she did. The Alpha and the Beta were so thrown from their grief they lashed out. I brought Aurora to the pack hospital as she was in really bad shape. When she was finally awake her father and the Alpha came in and indicated that she will be stripped to an omega and they cannot turn out a child and she will no longer be recognized as the betas daughter. I didn’t understand why they would do this when we were told there was an attack but since they couldn’t smell any rogues and the only one left alive was Aurora well they put the blame on her making it seem like she attacked them and caused their deaths. I spoke up against this as I have had a personal experience where there was an attack by rogues and there was no scent left behind.”

I paused there as I saw the kings face when I said that. “I know you have a question Damon please ask” the king looked at me and asked “I’m sorry to ask this but it seems relevant to the information you are given. What happened that you can definitely say there were rogues with no scent?” I glanced over to Aurora and she smiled giving me the strength to talk about my wife. “I was mated and she was pregnant with our son. She liked to take walks at my old pack behind the pack house, it calmed her as there was a pond back there that the Luna had created with flower beds surrounding it and a little gazebo you can sit under and just take in the scenery. She was there one day as I was out on patrol when she mind linked me telling me that there were rogues coming her way but she couldn’t smell them until it was to late. I ran to her as fast as I could me and my wolf were pushing harder than ever but I still didn’t make it there in time. When I got there my wife was dead her body slashed open and my son dead. I left the pack after that. My wife was correct there was no smell of rogues anywhere but my wife would not lie if she said there were rogues and she couldn’t smell them I know that to be true. She was also a warrior and one hell of a tracker she could pick up a scent and trail it anywhere.” The king nodded taking in the information I just provided. I continued “I informed the Alpha of this incident when I came here to join this pack as they wanted to know why I needed to leave my old pack to ensure I was not a rogue. I reminded him of my history when this attack happened but he just dismissed me to caught up in his grief. I tried to talk to Auroras father our Beta and remind him as well again I was blown off he wanted nothing to do with his daughter even though she was clearly a victim as well. They should have realized that there was something going on as she shifted into her wolf 2 weeks early that does not happen unless you are an alpha and I don’t see alphas shifting early that often and usually a week or a few days but never weeks prior to their birthday. After that Aurora was banded from the pack house and given the bare essentials for her to live. She was informed she would go to school and when she turned 18 the new Alpha Elias planned on kicking her out of the pack and making her rogue due to killing his mother. She was abused, beaten, and verbally attacked everyday for the last 3 years which I am sure she will get into more details with you. I trained her in secret to make sure she was strong, she could beat even the Alpha if she truly wants to she has been trained in both human and wolf form and is trained in mixed martial arts and is one of the best I have seen. She chooses not to be violent which I think says a lot about her as she knows it will only be worse for herself if she tries. As you have perceived yes I feel as she is my daughter, I lost my son and my mate and when I came to this pack seeing how a father can just give up the gift of a child so blindly I couldn’t understand. But she is my daughter may not be by blood but by choice and I will ensure her safety no matter what and from anyone.”
