Rea's POV
Alpha Damien's razor sharp focus was entirely fixed on Andy, a promise of ruin sitting silently behind his gaze yet he said nothing. Not yet.
Andy thrashed and squirmed beneath thier strong holds, but instead of successfully fighting his way out of their grasp, he earned himself a heavy more whips, until his his tenacity and resilience crumbled abosorbing a few more punches and whips while he screamed at the painful impact of each one.
"Please let him go Damien." I pleaded, squirming and screaming while Damien's arm around my neck pressed me back into his hold.
"Shut up human!" Damien growled, his voice was gravel dipped in ice—cold and harsh enough to send a violent shudder down your spine. "You have no place here." He groaned in my ear, his hands pressing deep into my jaw as he spuned me sideways, to allow him speak properly into my ears. My cheeks must have some red prints on them by now and that was if they don't break before he's done speaking.
His other arm curved around me like hook, pulling me flush against him.
It was cold and snowy, but I was here in an open space with a dress that barely covered me up, meant to please Damien alone. But whose fault was it? He had made it clear earlier that I should stay in the dining area until he's done with some stuff outside, but clearly, I had just rebelled against him . If there was something I shouldn't be doing right now, something I can't afford to do, it's risking my opportunity to stay in the mansion. Going against Damien's orders was a huge risk and it could delay my chances of getting close to a wolfsbane, hence putting Dad's life at risk. The Poor man didn't need any of this drama, all he needed was something. Anything to quicken his recovery.
I swear I might run out of oxygen and die anytime soon if I didn't surrender and let him decided my fate—just like I did the moment I ended up in his mansion.
I knew my cheeks were horribly flushed right now, my eyes were probably bulging out of my head already.
"Do whatever you want with me, Alpha." Andy howled, "just let the girl go... her father needs..." A punch landed on neck silencing him instantly.
Damien chuckled, trailing his hands slowly from my neck down to my chest, so slow, sensual and possessive, making sure whoever was watching never missed a detail.
My pulse spiked, not of fear, this once, but from the effect of his hands on my skin even though I knew he didn't intend anything good for me. He probably wanted to prove a point to Andy who was watching. I had no problem with that as long as he doesn't kill Andy like the other two men who had come in here with them, who were now lying lifeless in one corner of the space.
"Why should I let your little human fellow go?." His tone lacked volume, as usual, yet the cruel edge it carried was unmistakable and that frightened the hell out of me. "Because you said so?"
"Do with me whatever you wish! Please..." Andy shouted, his voice drawn out of pain. The more he lifted his head to speak, the more he's pressed down and made to lean on the wooden surface.
"No!" I managed, even with his hands clenched around my jaw. "let him go, please... I promise I'd whatever you wish."
Damien's rage flared.
He pushed me forcefully to face him. "You shut up Rea." Damien growled in response, "shut up or face the same f*****g fate as him."
"Let him go please... Damien" I insisted, crying, instead of pleading for my freedom or atleast a wolfsbane. If he couldn't let me go, then he should atleast let Andy go, he had done enough to men they came with. The other man was still shuddering on the floor with a transparent bag over his face. No one cared how he managed to breathe with the bag over his for a long period of time. No one cared, he'd like die like the others in a matter of time.
"Stop trying Rea." His hands closed around my jaw for the second time, like he could crush them if I pushed him any further, the rage in his eyes burned into my soul. "Wonder why humans are so slow. What the hell made you think I would let you just walk away like that?"
My pulse thudded in my ears as I watched him speak. "Keep me. Do whatever you want with me Damien but please let them go." I cried, keeping up with his
He watched me for a second with scorn, one hand on my jaw, the other on my arm like he was keeping me escaping even though he knew how impossible it was.
Andy's groans which had become weak but hadn't given up protesting, cut through the silence.
Damien let out a low jeering chuckle as he looked at him with scorn. His fist clenched involuntarily like the only thing keeping him from going for his throat was something already two times deadly than just a mere strangulation.
"You see Rare." He started
He released his hands around me suddenly, circling the place with a predator's pace .
I stared at him, stunned. Not only did he let go of his hold, the anger that darkened his stare melted away suddenly.
The "Rare" instead of "Rea" didn't matter to me anymore, he could say my name wrongly as much as he wanted as long Andy's free to go and Dad was assured that his little angel was safe.
"Rare." He chuckled again, low and measured and I stayed calm, like my life depended on whatever he had to say. "Why the hell do you think I call you Rare?" He asked, but I was pretty sure that he wasn't seeking for an answer. No one would dare answer him in a moment like this, not even his fangs. "Wolves..." He growled as he closed the space between us, took my messy hair in his hands and tucked it slowly behind my ears in a slow sensual motion, I wouldn't be stupid to take that for anything. "Don't make mistakes. Wolves don't make mistakes and that's what distinguishes us from humans."
I swallowed hard, afraid to blink incase that would get him upset the more.
"You are Rare, Rea. How the hell did you do it?"
"If I'm special, why can't you let me out of your pack... my father needs me." My voice craked with anguish but I don't dare stare at him.
"Rare doesn't mean special, human." Anger Welled within him, like the difference between rare and special pushed his temper. "Rare only means you don't get die the same way as your fellow intruders."
My heart lurched in my chest as I stumbled back a step but he held my gaze prisoner, just like everything else and I can't
"Being rare means you'd be the first of your kind." He smile briefly. He could see the fear in my eyes and I'm sure he doesn't only enjoy the frightened expression on my face, but he wished to go harder.
"Then f*****g let her go." Andy yelled from the distance he was held hostage.
Damien ignored.
His predator stare locked on me instead like Andy wasn't worth the effort of speaking to. "Being rare makes you witness the last minutes of an *sshole, while you remain untouched. Or maybe..." he rolled his eyes to the ceiling like next words he's about to speak lay there. "Imagine that—you get rid of your uncle yourself. Hmmm? I'd like to see it."
The wolves cackled, like bunch d*mb f**ks.
"No!" My eyes went wide with dread, I knew he wasn't joking.
Wait, he'd make me kill Andy?
Which was better? Watch him or do it myself.
