Chapter 27 Sugar strode toward the veranda where she stood with her eyes closed and inhaled the sweet, lemony scent of magnolias. It had been such a long time since she’d smelled them, smelled anything but blood and raw c*****e. She turned when Judas rushed in. “What’s wrong?” “I’ve been to the landing.
