Chapter 22 Lazy peals of thunder raced across the sky, the rumbling sound reminiscent of a hungry cat stalking his prey. The clouds were black and swollen with rain, but becoming ragged and frayed at the edges as they stretched across the sky. Far into the distance, beyond the winding, snake-like highway, was the hard, gray skyline of Savannah, with spiked skyscrapers made of glass and steel reaching up into a hazy, rain-soaked sky.
