Two weeks later, after successfully evading Aaron's and Maya's presence, I'm happy to be back home after work.
The following weeks, after that Andrew's gimmick and Maya's prying questions has been non-eventful.
Mark has been accommodating as well. Whenever he wants my help with something, and if Aaron happened to be there, Mark would send Aaron away.
He thinks I don't notice but I do and it warms my heart to know that he's looking out for me even when he doesn't know the full story of our past.
He's on my side and that's all that matters.
Right now, even though it's been two weeks already, that photo of Maya and Aaron from the birthday party is still making rounds on the internet.
So much so that they're both schedule for an interview on Good morning Califo
