The dean quickly read the letter and put a stamp on it, approving it in one go. He then made a copy of it, kept the original with himself and handed back the copy to Samirah. The original letter would be kept in her records for the university.
Samirah took the copy, "Thank you."
The dean nodded, "I hope you are well now."
"I am perfectly fine now."
"That is good. You have missed many classes and a test in the one month of absence. I will arrange extra classes for you to make up for those before the mid-term. You have to give the missed test as well. It is important for your overall grading, so you can't miss it."
Samirah nodded seriously, "Yes, sir. Thank you."
"You are welcome. Is there anything else?"
