Chapter 14 A New Family The welcoming committee of me, Jimmy, Papa, Iris, and Glory waited by the front porch of my aunt and uncle’s new home. A fancy carriage led a small parade of wagons down the graceful lane, limbs arched over the road forming a canopy. The driver of the carriage slowed to a stop and jumped down to open the door.
