William Grant remembers it like yesterday I was Itching for adventure, William watched while the Great War rages in Europe. Willam Grant went to Britain to join the army for the great war, Grant knew why he wanted to join for adventure and help. At the time. William grant left everything behind, packed his clothes and found a ship heading to Britain and William waved to everyone and got one. Willaim Grant was PRIVATE when I joined the war.I know where Willaim Grant belongs, he wants to be here. I went to find a Captain or Lieutenant on base. William Grant starts to head over to find someone to tell him where to go. Captain Meadowes was waiting for William Grant at the office.

Captain Meadowes look up and down at William Grant and smile. And told William grand to come with me. William Grant follows Captain Meadowes to the barracks while private William Grant sleeps. Next time Captain Meadowes saw William Grant was at 1400 hours Meadowes came into the barracks grape the water holes and sprayed everyone in there down and woke them up and told them to meet him outside now..

Captain Meadowes wasn't nice but he understood the war. Captain Meadowes father was in the Napoleonic Wars. And his grandfather was Captain in the civil war but died in battle. Captain Meadowes told everyone this place is not like home this makes men and women here fly the plane over and over. Captain Meadowes ask every name

Like that the war just began to build and get worse everyone wasn't ready for the fight for the lives but if we know we keep down and hide and did what we do we will be home soon.. that night we all got told that we get guns now. We all walk in line for Short, Magazine, Lee–Enfield" variant rifle. Captain Meadowes told everyone this was going to hell. You will see dead bodies and hurt people out there.

Everyone replied yes sir

We all left the camp that morning with captain Meadowes. It was slow moving but at night we knew everyone would have to watch each other badly and fight like a team..

That night was hell.. we were in the middle of nowhere,we had tents, stepped up and everything was ready for bed. Then someone heard a tree break and we grabbed the guns and points and were ready to open fire but nothing came out the trees just screaming and gun fire.. nobody couldn't sleep we were too afraid to try to sleep.

We got some rest and packed up and left and headed to the frontline. We slowly moved to the frontline and saw airplane crash information. Nobody survived the crash. I know the man died trying and fight till they crashed, Captain Meadows and company sat and we prayed that day. Next thing captain Meadowes called in the radio and they found an airplane crash at E132-45N where we were at the time. Meadowes told company let the days got long and cold at night

One night Captain Meadowes woke me up and told me come outside with him

I replied yes sir. Head outside to talk with Meadowes

Captain Meadowes told me this company need leader I believe you are born to leader for this company of man captain Meadowes replied

I replied yes sir i will be there leader and show we not backing down.

Captain Meadowes loud at me told do we quite

I replied no sir we don't back down or give up when too hard

Captain Meadowes replied good get some sleep we will need it

I replied yes sir

That morning I call of the company in front of captain Meadowes I ask everyone do we give up or quite

Everyone replied no we don't quit or give up.

Captain Meadowes and company head to barracks next town over where the frontline trenches at.

We arrived in the trenches and got ready to fight. We all boys here let fight.
