Chapter 4 After work I realized I had a text from my mom asking how I was. She lived close by, but we rarely saw each other. I tried to think back to the last time I’d gone to visit her and couldn’t remember when it’d been. I texted her back that I was doing fine. I glazed over the details of my life with Mom.
