Chapter 12 Ellis finished the painting now titled Fulfillment and took it and its companion piece, Hope, down to the gallery. At first Randall was perhaps a bit less than ecstatic, saying, “You’re moving further and further away from the dark ones.” Then he admitted the last painting Ellis had brought him, the ruined house, had already sold.
