Eclipse Pack

(24 Hours Earlier) (Gracie) I am running around the pack house helping get everything ready for the ceremony of my brother and his mate Sarah. Normally it would be the Luna's job, but seeing as my mom went to the capital it landed on me. It was only a short while after everyone left that we were informed that Wild had become unconscious for unknown reasons. It was yesterday that my mom discided to go demand answers. So far there hasn't been anything they could think of to cause it. My brother George has been acting Alpha in our mother's absence. I could tell my brother isn't doing to well since we were informed of Wild's condition. Heck I'm not doing well, I wanted to go but my mother said and I quote "What so you can summon all of the elements to come rain down on everyone? No I'm going it's my turn to yell at that woman." Needless to say she won the argument, but then again she always does. I'm a hundred forty-nine almost hundred fifty years old you think my mother would stop treating me like a child. But she knows that tomorrow will be the day I lost my mate sixteen years ago. I always get moody this time of the year, but Wild has always been my baby girl ever since she came. I was the one to raise her. I was there for all of her first. She was mine in everything but blood but I never cared. She never called me mom and I was ok with that. Sure I would of love it but still I knew I was one of her favorite people. When she asked at the age of two who her mommy was I had told her I was. She looked at me with those beautiful golden eyes and said but you didn't carry me in your tummy. My brother Vine and his mate Lowla were expecting at the time and Wild understood thet there was a baby in her tummy. Well I had went off on everyone demanding who told her. It's not like I was going to keep it a secret for ever but come on she's two. Wild had came up to me and said no one told me it's just your aura is different from the tummy I was in. It left me speechless, that night my mate John and I discided to tell Wild about how she came to be apart of our family. Not all of it just the important parts. "Aunt Acie is there anything I can help with?" my niece Sky asked who is now seventeen. Wild had called me Acie when she was little. Since then all of my nieces and nephews even some of my younger siblings call me by her nickname. "Could you check on your mom and make sure she isn't over doing it. You tell her I don't want her going into early labor from her over working herself." I say sweetly. "I'll try but you know how my mom is." Sky says laughing as she flashes away. "You ok sis?" George's voice comes from behind me. I turn around to see he looks just as ragged as I am. Tears start to form in my eyes but I refuse to let them escape. "To be honest I am not ok. I want her back home. I want my baby girl back with me but that's selfish of me cause she's theirs too." George wraps me up in his arms as he rubs my back. I cling on to him as if I'm about to drowned and he is my life line. Being twins was a blessing and a curse for you feel each other's joy as well as pain, as if it was your own. "I'm sorry to interrupt." A soft voice says behind George. I move away to see Sarah looking unsure what to do. "Is it that time already? I sorry Sarah I shouldn't of made you come get me." I say with a smile that doesn't quite reach my eyes. I like Sarah she's sweet and very compassionate. She shakes her head, "Please it's fine. It's the least I can do with everything you're doing for us." "And what pray tell are you supposed to be doing?" George asked looking between the two of us. "Girl bonding, Wild was supposed to be here as well but seeing as she can't it means we will have to do this again at a later date. So Sarah let's go get the rest of the women from the family." We start walking down the stairs when I smell a scent I haven't smelled in sixteen years. (John) I can't believe it's been sixteen years since I last saw my beautiful mate. She looked the same as that day, though her hair was much shorter than before. Her hypnotic hazel eyes staring in shock looking down the stairs to were I am. "Hi my goddess." A smile is on my face and a warm feeling in my heart I haven't felt in years. I'm looking at my six foot eight inch mate with a tired but bewildered look on her face. All of a sudden I watch as my mates face turns to one of anger, her eyes never leaving mine. The smell of something burning reaches me as the wind picks up around my mate, water droplets starts to fly in the wind, as the whole building starts shaking. "What the f**k, hi that's the first thing that you say to me? After you have been gone for sixteen years, SIXTEEN YEARS!" Damn she's angry but still I can't help but think she's breath taking. "My goddess you need to calm down before you crash the house down." I say with a smile. "Mom what's going on?" "Are we under attack?" My boys flash right next to their mother. My mate ignores our boys to yell at me. "Calm down, did you just tell me to calm down? I...we thought you were dead. We thought someone had stolen your body to do heaven knows what. SIXTEEN YEARS JOHN!" Even in her anger I couldn't help but feel joy at hearing my name from her lips. "Gracie!" A booming voice comes from behind her and the smile on my face is gone with fear in its place. There stood Branch looking at his oldest daughter with a tender smile. "Take a deep breath alright, your mother will be upset it you destroyed the house." Gracie looks at her father heavily breathing and slowly the wind and water disappear as well as the shaking of the house. As soon as the house stopped shaking someone flashed right in front of me and I get a fist to the face, sending me to the ground. I know who it is so I didn't block it, knowing I deserved more than just a punch to the face. Standing back up I'm met with Branch's murders look. "I should kill you for what you put my daughter through. You're lucky I want answers as to why it took you so long to come back and how you are alive when no one could heal you?" "I'll tell you what I can but for now my boys should get packed up and get ready to leave for the capital. Wild will be waking up tomorrow morning and she's going to need them." I say keeping eye contact with Branch. "Fine, Tornado, Earthquake get packed. It seems you are needed elsewhere." I remember when Branch had refused to call the twins by the names Gracie and I gave them. "They are part fae so they should also have fae names." Is what he had told us when they were but minutes old. The only time he said their given name was when they were in trouble. "John to my office now. Gracie, George you come as well."
