The Invitation

After the Beast made sure I had no more serious injuries, he began putting up the wards again. I went to take another shower and change cloths, yet again. After finishing I step out of the bathroom to find him still working on the wards. "Why did Nala call you Knight?" "That's my name." He says without looking at me."How is that your name?" "I am Kyle's wolf and my name is Knight." "Knight as in knight in shining armor right?" He laughs, "Yes just like that. But I'm no knight in shining armor." "I would have to disagree." For a minute it was silent before he spoke again. "Why don't you go to Branchs office, while I put these last few wards back up." The beast says. "I'll lock the door when I'm done." I just nod and move passed him to leave the room. He seems to tense up as I walk by but I not sure if I'm imagining it. I take the stairs to the third floor where the alpha's family has their bedrooms as well as the two offices. One is for the alpha luna the other is for her mate Branch. Reaching the dark mahogany door that lead to Branch's office, I hear muffled yelling. I knock on the door and the other side of it became quiet. The door swings open of it's own. Luna Abigail sighed standing behind Branch's desk as Branch sits in his seat. "Come in child." Elder Carl says, from the couch that is to the left of me. I step in to see all of the elders sitting on the couch. Elder Carl is sitting the closes to the door, next to him is Jane, who I call Gran, Titan, Nala and last but not least Titus. Alpha Night is standing behind the couch. Alpha luna Abigail and her mate Branch are at his desk facing the door. A stranger I haven't seen before is on the love seat to my right. What ever they where talking about before I got here had all of them upset, except for the stranger he seemed excited to me. The stranger had light brown hair and eyes to match, though I expect many didn't notice due to the scars on his face. I look around at all the faces wondering what's going on. Were we not here to talk about what Alpha Night did, if so why is this strange here? "It's a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance, Miss Flower.", the stranger says, he stands up and starts walking towards me with his hand stretched out in front of him to shake my hand. I shake his hand and say, "I'm sorry sir but I don't know your name." He laughs, "Forgive me, I am Jacob Black." My eyes widen in surprise. "What is the famous "Tracker" doing here, if I may ask?" He laughs again, "I see you are well informed, she will be glad to hear. To answer your question I am here to formally invite you to the capital." I look around the room at all of the faces. "You said she, who are you talking about? I thought I was here to talk about what happened earlier?" I ask as I turn back to the man known as Tracker. "What happened earlier?" He looks around but no one answers. "I came on behalf of my master Mavis Moon." Widened eyes I ask, "Why would the Mavis Moon invite me to the capital?" He gives me a questioning look. "Why wouldn't she invite her only granddaughter?" The slamming of the door to the office opened, I hadn't realized it had been closed. "Mavis will be angry that you told her, like that." There stood the Beast with my keys in his hand. "I have put a spell on your keys and locks so that no one but you can use them." He says as he reaches out to give me my keys "Thanks.", is all I say, before turning back to Tracker. "When do I leave?" Tracker smiles, "Aren't you curious about what I just said?" "Of course I am but I have learned when someone won't give me the answers, so I'll wait for someone who will." Tracker starts to chuckle, "I was told that you are a unique young lady I just didn't realize how unique you really are. Forgive me for staring but you have the most enchanting eyes I have ever seen. And your hair is breath taking I haven't seen hair this color before." A growl comes for two directions. I look over to see Beast giving an evil glare to Tracker when I hear a voice. "She is mine." I look over to the man who spoke with anger coming over me. "Who are you talking about? Surely it's not me. I belong to no man." I had both my hands rapped around his throat, sitting on top of him, while he layed on the floor. I didn't even know how I got here, I was pissed. "What did you say? Repeat it I dare you. You went to save that b***h over me and you have the oddasty to claim me as yours!" He was trying to remove my hands to get air but to no avail. I could hear people trying to calm me down, but I ignore them. Not feeling anyone grab me I could guess I had put up my shield. That was until I felt two pairs of strong arms lift me up form on top of King Night. "Wild calm down. He is not worth it." Chase spoke. "Just breath, just breath, you shouldn't snoop down to his level." Josh says. They are both holding me as I take deep breaths trying to control my anger. "If you so much as talk to me, or look at me I will burn you!" I yell at him seeing the fear in his eyes as he looked up at me. King Night was still lying on the floor gasping for air as he looked at me not even trying get up. All he was doing was holding his neck that was starting to show bruising. "Get her out of here." Beast roars somewhere behind me. "Come on Wild let's get you some food." Chase says, while him and Josh dragged me out of the office. "Do you hear me? I will burn you!" I yell as the office door is slammed shut. "Just calm down, let's get something to eat and maybe a drink." Josh is now facing me looking into my eyes. "I think we need to get drunk. What do you say?" I was starting to calm down and shake my head. "No, I need to get wasted." Chase sets me down as he starts laughing. "Now that sounds like great idea." Chase says behind me.
