SHANE I opened Carrie's door without knocking and stepped into her office, closing the door behind me. She didn’t even flinch when she saw me. I leaned against the frame, arms crossed. “So. A vacation?” She looked up from her laptop with maddening calm. “Yes, two weeks.” “Now?” “I’ve already booked it.” She leaned back slightly. “I haven’t had a vacation in four years. You can check with HR.” “That’s not the point, Carrie.” My voice tightened. “You’re handling several active accounts.
