“Why won’t they let us see them?” Hank complained as we got settled into our family hospice room at the hospital. We had been able to see Andy and Brad briefly after they were taken from recovery to their rooms. Then we were told, due to the nature of the prognosis for both men, we would need to see the family counselor before we began regular visits. We were assured that would take place before either of them were fully awake and ready for visitors.
