Dally POV The observatory sat at the highest point on the estate. I'd passed it a thousand times growing up. Mowed around it. Cleared branches after storms. Fixed the path leading up to it every spring. Never once had I been inside. Mr. Ashwood always kept it locked. Now, just after sunrise, the four of us stood beneath the domed ceiling while pale morning light spilled through the glass overhead. The place even smelled old, like dust and cold metal.
