It's okay

3 back to back classes I had Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. 4 back to back classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I did my best to keep my mind going so I didn't have much time to think about Rosalie. But today the text I received from Alice during my first class had me on edge. How much damage was done to my jeep? By 3:15, just like Alice said it began thundering and lightening and I was certain from the way the rain fell that it was pouring. I was glad I had my top up on my jeep because if I hadn't it would have been flooded by now. 15 more minutes until my final class was over, 15 minutes until I could go home. I stared at the clock in my Politics class, watching the second hand ticking around the face. As it neared 30 after it seemed to slow immensely. It was like the clock was teasing me and I had nothing to do in order to get back at it. Finally students began getting up from their seats and filing out the door. "About time." I murmured to myself as I rose to my feet. I quickly threw my books into my bag and slung it over my shoulder before I headed out of the class and into the rain. Just seconds in the down pour and I was soaked. It took me all but 3 minutes to get to my jeep. I quickly unlocked it and tossed in my books before I began scanning every inch of it. I got done with the drivers side and made my way over to check the passenger side. Suddenly I stopped, there was no damage. I stood up and looked around thinking about what made Alice send that text. Maybe she meant to send it to someone else like Edward or Jasper. Shrugging it off I made my way back around my jeep and got inside before I headed out of the parking lot. I was less than a mile away from my home when a car attempted a sudden u-turn in front of me. I slammed on my breaks and swore in anger as I ended up t-boning the car before me. The car flipped twice and then came to a stop two yards from me. My eyes widened, what had I done? I quickly drove up the remainder of the drive and parked my jeep before I ran back to the wreck. I first checked for any signs of a gas leak and then knelt down beside the car where the drivers side was. There unconcious was the girl named Misty. I carefully pulled her from the car and took her into the house before I came back and physically pulled the car up the rest of the way to the drive. When I set the car down beside mine and stood up I saw for the first time the damage down to the grill of my jeep. I winced as I realized how much time and patience was going to have to go into fixing this. Sure the money was no problem it was just having to use something other then my jeep. Remembering the car accident I headed quickly into the house to the couch where I left Misty. I knelt down beside her and checked for signs of breathing. She was alive, that was good. I brought my hand carefully to her face and she winced and jerked away before she opened her eyes. She saw me and her eyes widened. "You again? What happened?" She said. Her eyes flickered to her bruised hand and then she gasped. "I'm so sorry I didn't mean to make this happen." She said as she pushed herself carefully into a sitting position. "No, its fine just lay back down okay. You could be hurt." I told her. Misty quickly shook her head, "I feel fine." My phone rang and I quickly answered it. "I'm kind of busy right now, what is it?" I said. "Emmett." Alice began. Of course it was Alice, she was the only person that called when something was going to happen or when something did happen. "I saw the accident, are you okay?" she asked me. I froze, "Wait do you mean you knew this was going to happen?" I said a bit angered. "Why didn't you call me before hand." I heard Alice take a deep breath. "Honestly if you saw what I saw you wouldn't be complaining. I can't tell you much right now because it needs to happen on its own but just be nice okay. Oh and don't worry your friend will be okay." on that ending note she hung up. I closed my eyes and took several deep breaths before I opened my eyes. Misty was looking right at me. "Is everything okay?" she asked me. I slowly shook my head. "You could have been killed and my jeep is going to be unusable for atleast a month." "I am so sorry I don't have much money but I promise I will do whatever needs to be done to fix it." Misty said. I held up my hand. "No its fine, I can pay for it to be fixed but you, your car is damaged beyond repair." I sat in silence for a few moments while I watched her cry silently. "Why were you on this road any how, this is a private drive." I asked her. She looked up at me and shook her head. "I got lost." she said to me. "The rain blurred my windshield and I was unsure where I was going then I saw the house." "Well there is another car in the garage I can take you home if you like or to the hospital." I offered. She rose to her feet, "I can walk thank you." She said before she headed to the door. I followed her and stepped before her and the door. "Let me drop you off atleast, you just were in a car accident and you shouldn't push your body any more than normal." She looked at me and nodded her head. "Okay" she said I smiled and headed out with her to the garage and froze. There in the middle of the garage were three cars. One of them was Rosalie's second car. My breath picked up quickly and I actually closed my eyes and put my head in my hands. Misty came forward and placed her hand on mine before she jerked back from the shock of my cold skin only to place her hand there again. "Are you okay?" she asked me. "Do you need to go to the hospital, I can call an ambulance." she said. I shook my head before I dropped my hands and opened my eyes. "Nah, I'm fine. Lets just get you home okay." I said to her before I walked over to the black sedan that Carlisle normally drove when he was here. This car was two years old and had only been driven on one occasion. I opened the door fro her and helped her in before I closed the door. I then retrieved the key from the holder by the door and got into the drivers seat before I pushed the button for the garage opener. In less than a minute I was heading back down the hill near the scene of the accident. I drove in silence for almost an hour waiting for Misty to give me directions to her home. "Where do you want me to let you off at? You don't need to tell me where you live just tell me when to stop so I can let you out near your house." I told her. "Just stop here." She said to me as we were in the middle of no where. I stopped the car and looked around, there were hardly any buildings in the area. The closest building looked about 100 yards away, give or take a few, and was a gas station. The one across from it was a junk yard. "Here?" I asked her listening to the pattering of the pouring rain on the roof of the car. "There is nothing here for miles." She opened the door to the car and looked at me. "Yeah I know." she said before she got out. I stared after her as she just started walking in the down pour and then I drove off. I got half way down the road and turned around to go and get her. Something about this wasn't right. When I pulled up where I dropped her off she was not there. I drove slowly down the street and stopped when I saw her sitting on the stoop outside the gas station. I honked the horn and her eyes opened. I could see her blushing lightly, she was embarassed. I shut off the car and got out before I walked over to her side. Without a word I held out my hand. "You have no where to go do you?" I asked her. She looked past me and shook her head. "Well I have more than enough room in my home so if you want you can stay in one of the rooms." I told her. She looked at me and I could see tears in her eyes. What exactly did she go through to get her in this situation? "Come on, you can get some food in you, take a shower and do your homework." I told her. I stood with my hand outstretched for several minutes before she finally rose her hand out to meet mine. Her hand in mine was like fire on ice, it pained me. Though for some reason I enjoyed the pain. I brought Misty to her feet and helped her back to the car before I got in and headed back to the house. I parked beside my jeep and we got out and headed inside. I walked with her upstairs and showed her the different rooms in the house. "You can pick any room up here." I said to her before I left her to her own. I headed back downstairs and resumed my spot on the couch. In another 10 minutes I got to my feet as I heard a vehicle approaching. It was the concierge and they had brought me some groceries to stock the fridge. The only thing that bothered me was that I didn't eat human food and I wasn't the one who ordered it. As I allowed him to come in and put away the groceries I tried to think of who could have done this. The only person I could think of was Alice. She must've seen me letting Misty stay, the only question was how long. The amount of groceries that the concierge had brought was atleast a months worth of food. This was odd since I didn't exactly plan on letting her stay this long. What was going on?
