Nagbuntong hininga ako at tiningnan siya. Bumuka ang bibig niya para magsalita pero walang isang salita ang lumalabas dito. He closed his parted mouth and cleared his throat.

I looked down on his hand in front of me, waiting for me to accept it for a handshake. Nag angat ako ng tingin sa kaniya. The hopefulness dancing on his hazel brown eyes got me surprise a bit. He looked away as his ears reddened.
Pinagmasdan ko ang dahan-dahang pagkuyom ng nakalahad niyang kamay. But before he could put his hand down, I held it and shook it with mine.
