"Hello", Nicole said taking a deep breath. She didn't know why she was being so nervous suddenly, maybe it was the fact that the woman on the other end of the call mattered a lot to Salim, or maybe it was the excitement of talking to Salim's friends and family for the first time ever. She didn't know the exact reason for the way her hands were sweating.
"Hai Nicole, I am sure Salim must have mentioned me once or twice", the thick Indian accent was hard to miss, and Nicole immediately felt the warmth spreading through the voice
"He did. He speaks a lot about you and Mr. Raghu", Nicole replied
"Good for him", Pari said and added in a teasing voice, "or else I would have killed him for not mentioning us to his special lady". Special lady? Does that mean Salim mentioned her to his friends?
