I lock the door behind me, my gaze lingering on the back of her head before venturing lower to that slender, fragrant neck and down the curve of her spine.
The thought of closing the distance between us occurs to me, even though I know she's going to kick me out of here and cause a scene. I know she wants this, though. I can feel it deep in my bones.
She just needs a little bit of...motivation.
After a second thought, I turn the lights off. We're both immersed in darkness now, and I see her move in the dark. Her voice is filled with alarm when she says, "Sebastian?"
I stop a couple of feet away from the bed. Nikki's perfectly still now, but I can hear her erratic breathing. Does she know it's me? Can she sense my presence like I would sense hers?
