Dahlia hesitated at the cabin door, gathering her courage before stepping inside. Jane and Dan sat by the crackling fire. "Look who's back from the fields," Jane called out with a smirk. "Rough day, farm girl?" "Better than yours, I imagine," Dahlia replied with a measured smile. "Thanks for asking." Hunter and Lupin settled onto the couch. "Beer?" Hunter asked Lupin. "Definitely," Lupin patted the cushion beside him. "Dahlia, I've missed you. Come here." Jane's eyes narrowed. "She's such a freak. I don't know why you bother."
