CHAPTER 2

"She saw us," Gandalf said. "I bet she didn't Edward replied. As the two were arguing inside a small cave a man was walking by an oak tree not far from the cave. Drew wondered what they were talking about, he hid at one side by the cave but he couldn't fathom what they were talking about. Drew was still eavesdropping when the twins(obviously Gandalf and Edward) were arguing and he sited the queen's carriage coming towards the cave, he quickly bent down pretending to be searching for some certain leave.

" Edward, I heard some footsteps," Gandalf said with curiosity and fright. "Did you hear" "No I don't and I didn't, you're just lying man" Edward replied feeling disgusted by what Gandalf has said. "I heard, I'm serious". " No, you didn't". Another argument broke in again. "Will you keep quiet, you unscrupulous twins, must you always argue over little unimportant things?" Queen Eliza said angrily. The two became scared wondering what could have brought the Queen to their small cave. Edward turned his back from the queen looking round the cave while Gandalf kept staring at the Queen's jewelry and the golden enamel in the carriage. "Can you just greet at least" The queen folded her arms, with her bulging eyes and raising her nose as she talked. The twins looked at each other for some minutes till they were jolted by the Queen's yelling voice. "I never liked seeing you two, always causing trouble and arguing stupidly," she said with her two firm hands dangling backward. "Well, I guess you're in trouble" "Hmm, guess? No, not guess, you're in trouble" The queen squeaked. "What"! The twins chorused, 'Gandalf you're in trouble' ' No I'm not, but you are' Gandalf replied. 'But the Queen said you are in trouble, Gandalf, just admits to this" Edward said. 'You are stupid' "No I'm not you are"..... " oh my gosh" the queen couldn't hold herself any longer. "You are both STUPID" she said emphatically, stretching her neck and straining her eyeballs like it wanted to pop out of its socket. "Where did you both go yesterday?" The twins turn to each other, looking at each's mouth as if the answered was laid there. 'When do you guys become dumb' the queen said picking them on the head. "Yesterday, I saw you guys fighting over a pen in the upper world and you almost exposed our kingdom, if not for me, that little bunny would have known you guys, and which will affect her and maybe you. " Me?" They asked. Ignoring the question she told them they would be grounded for two months inside a deserted cave with only breakfast and dinner as a meal, no time to play as they would be busy cleaning the rooms in the cave, making sure there is no dirt there. 

The twins disgustingly looked round the cave, with their neatly folded futon bed on their heads. "When are we ever going to be free from this 'everlasting' sudden deserted room with no food for lunch". Edward said. Gandalf who was becoming annoyed answered by telling him he doesn't even care about the chores, " only food" "can't you ever stop talking about food". "Gandalf do you remember the day our wicked uncle didn't give us breakfast and we played a prank on hi..." "Oh yeah.. Just to leave his food, right there on the table" Gandalf cuts in laughing out loud with his right hand on his waist and the left on Edwards's shoulder. "That man thinks he is the ancient wisest man, we are even smarter than him, but to be sincere, I love that prank, I could remember how he sprung up from the table to see the oxen in his farm" "The most interesting part was when he came back only to see his meowing cat on his plate after placing him there" Edward added. "As of recent that prank is still the best prank, I can't wait for us to get another person pranked, " Gandalf said. "I suggest the queen," said Edward. There were some minutes of silence as Gandalf gazed at Edward with his jaw dropped. 

"What, why that look," Edward said breaking the silence.

"Edward are you out of your mind" 

"well, am not" he replied quiverly

"Yes, you are, how can you suggest the queen, you must be really out of it," Gandalf said rolling his eyes in a disgusting way

"No, I'm not, is the Queen above being pranked?" 

"Yes, Ed, the Queen is above that"

"Oh really, Gan I see you're well," Edward said sarcastically

As usual, the twins started their squabbles once again.

"Can you guys stop the nuisance of yours, I've been standing here for over 10 minutes now, and you guys didn't know I was here". One of the queen attendants (Jack) said. 

"Is it your business Mr. Who, Mr. Who have no job, what and why are you standing there for, to eavesdrop?" Gandalf replied with contempt. 

"Are you talking to me?" Jack said this in awe. Edward looking around the cave said, "Do we have another person who has no job here except you?". 

"Ouch... This is too much on me" Jack couldn't take it any longer.

 "Oh no, our baby wants to cry, we need to get this little guy a diaper," Gandalf said

"You know what?" Jack said, "I'm gonna report you to the queen telling her you planned to play a prank on her". 

"What?" The twins chorused. "Please don't"

Jack who seems defeated earlier now feels he has defeated the twins and smiled broadly at them, said.. "I won't if only, you will....". "The twins chorused again cutting Jack short.

"Wow, am not even done with what I was saying" 

"You know... We're only appreciating in advance" Gandalf said humorously and also scared.

"Uhmm.. that's good of you" Jack giggled 

"Well, for me not to tell the queen, you will have to..." He was interrupted by the Queen's footsteps in the upper basement 

"Oh no, please help us.. don't tell the Queen". 

"So you can beg" "Well the Queen ordered me to tell you, to make the cave clean in every possible way or greater punishment would be given to you," Jack said this in a loud voice to make the queen hear him.

"What have you been doing, I've been waiting for you outside, are you playing with the twins". "No my Queen, the twins..." As he was talking Gandalf was trembling thinking Jack wants to expose their deeds. "... The twins..." Jack chuckled. "... And their squabbles my queen".

"Phew" The twin sighed, feeling relaxed that Jack didn't expose them. "I just hate that dude". Said annoyed Edward. "I do too, so can we get to work?". They both started to work though grudgingly.

Queen Eliza turned her back with frustration, making her way towards the entrance. Jack immediately followed giving the twins a stern look. 

The queen look worried as she quietly walked. Jack noticed this and asked the queen what was wrong. Without hesitation, she poured out everything to him.

"The pen which the twins were fighting over is strange or maybe mystical and this may steer up war among us and Grittany kingdom," she said downcasted. "I really don't want any encounter with them, everything seems peaceful now"
