Chapter Thirty I was pretty torn up after the docs operated on me to get the bullet out, but I was going to live. The biggest downside to being shot, is that hospitals don't serve booze. I mean, there's that threat of death thing, too. But you can deal with that, if you have enough bourbon. Lilly was kind enough to let me stay at her place while I recovered, in exchange for some lessons in sorcery. I agreed to teach her how to bend a thread here and there without being so noisy as to catch the Guild's attention.
