In the next minutes they were eating and Rhina stabbing the eggs with her fork , she wondered where the hell did her step brother learn to cook , truthfully the aroma was delightful. How is it, Kieran finally asked staring at her. Ah. ........it's ...... yummy, Rhina found herself stuttering just because of him.
Just his gaze reached in her soul making her to have butterflies in her tummy...... Unknowingly that he had affected her he continued staring at her which made things worsen to her side. she couldn't even use the knife because she was just trembling under his stare. Puzzled she decided to leave it and placed back the knife on the tray.
Let me help you, before she could say anything he was already standing behind her and soon enough he was slowly without a word said cutting her scrambled eggs and bacon into pieces. At Rhina's side she didn't know what to say but she was silently dying, his arms where covering her in his embrace something he took as simple and yet to Rhina she was burning.
Argg .........am gonna do the rest myself, Rhina finally murmured after realizing the way his scent......so beautiful ......invaded her nostrils and his body warmth seeping into her. Fine, He replied and made his way to the refrigerator. Do you mind getting a sip, he told her setting a juice cartoon on his counter.
Finding no answer he then grabbed two glass cups from their rack and filled them up with whatever juice what was in there. Am gonna take the glass with lemonade juice, She finally retorted picking it from him. After taking a sip with her right leg over her left one she glanced at the watch which suddenly made her moods to change.
She had recalled that they had to bury her dead mother and recalling it made all the bad memories to flow in her mind..........shit she even recalled that she hadn't talked with her friends....she was missing them. Is there anything wrong Rhina, Kieran soon asked concerned.
Nothing, she shrugged without turning to stare at him. l have something to give you, Kieran said Caringly after placing his glass half full of mango juice down. I don't want it, Rhina replied in a bored tone. What you mean you don't need a phone right now, he murmured. Yeah you right l need it , she quickly responded and instantly reached out and got it from his hands.
It's time to go, Kieran murmured snatching up his car keys. No no , am sorry boss for coming late, the chauffeur burst in the room suddenly getting all things from him. Argg, so bossy , Rhina spoke under her breath as she followed the chauffeur leaving Kieran behind. How many f*****g cars does he have, Rhina wondered when she noticed that the black limousine was waiting for them.
The chauffeur instantly opened the door for her and she only had to slide inside the sleek car. She then sighed heavily her heart sinking when the chauffeur closed the door. For a couple of minutes she was gazing at the interior of the limo , it was so sophisticated with black leather seats, a mini fridge and with a television.
Why hasn't the bastard come, she finally asked herself when she realized that the chauffeur and him were not in. Boss......., her question was soon answered when she saw the chauffeur opening the door but soon cussed when she got to know that her step brother was going to sit next her .
What am l going to do, she wondered inwardly as she watched the chauffeur enter through the driver's seat and after wearing the seat belt he started the engine. There was no way she could sit near him and feel comfortable and soon enough her leg was bouncing up and down due to nerves.
She had sat near different dudes and she felt normal but just sitting next to her step brother was making her to feel like she was in hell, it was unbearable that she began to play with the hem of her dress. What's wrong Rhina are you feeling nervous just because of me, Kieran finally asked .
Rhina didn't reply him instantly , she was still swallowing the lump that was starting to form in her throat. Rhina.......Shit me to be .......you right am l but am scared of you, she instantly cut him short in mid sentence. Heartless people like you don't care about the poor, she added under her breath and suddenly turned away from him looking out of the window.
You better watch your mouth next time before muttering anything, am only sparing you just because you my step sister, Kieran hissed out after hearing what she had just said. Uhmm, do you think telling me that would make me change my mind, l know you as a rich bastard not my step brother, Rhina also hissed out in reply.
Alright , Mr Spencer jabbered calmly, he only acted like that just because he was feeling sorry for her, she had lost her lovely mother and growling at her would hurt her more. Finally, Rhina sighed when the limo came to a stop and taking a deep breath she undone her seat belt but before she could get out the chauffeur hurriedly raced around the car and opened for her.
You don't have to open for me, Rhina bellowed as she climbed out of the car. Yes he has, Kieran rejoined. It is my job, the chauffeur nodded in agreement. So bossy, Rhina cursed rolling her eyes.______ Is that the daughter of the deceased, Village people started whispering to themselves as they watched them walk.
Due to the September winds Rhina's hair was bouncing up and down as she walked and looked so cute in the black knee length dress which enhanced her potable figure
By the time they reached in the church where her mother was already in the case Rhina humbly stared around.
They were barely people in the service and most of them were in uniforms. Church choirs , she guessed for a while and due to the fact that she always used to spend her time chilling with her friends she also found the priest's preaching boring and yet he was praying for the soul of her deceased mother to have eternal life.
What are they for, she finally whispered to Kieran when the priest and others closed their eyes. Do you mean the bodyguards, Kieran whispered back. Yeah , Rhina nodded her head. They came to give us security, Kieran buzzed but truth be told it was just unbelievable to Rhina the so called bodyguards were over thirty in number
Still wondering, the priest soon made her life worse when he started to say the good things her mother did and that instantly made her eyes to water. Feeling them water Rhina craned her head in the direction of the clock wondering how much time she was supposed to sit there with people crying, Rhina didn't want to cry , she wanted to pretend that she was strong but the loss was unbearable.
Excuse me, Rhina finally said standing up to leave. She had no reason but right now she didn't want to cry.....not now but perhaps later.
