Aubrey’s POV
It’s not the most romantic of topics, but before I would consider Jude’s proposal that we ‘live together’, I insisted that we sit down for a serious discussion to decide on how this relationship was going to work. After all, I was wary of moving in together with Jude for a variety of reasons.
First of all, I enjoy my privacy. It’s been great having a place all to myself, except for an occasional visit from my brother Nick. And secondly, I had been burned a couple times by bad roommates and bad boyfriends in the past taking advantage of my generosity, or taking me for granted and assuming that I would happily be their doormat, doing the lions share of the cooking and housework.
