The idea that Aubrey could possibly be pregnant came to me from out of nowhere, but it makes a lot of sense. She wanted to blame the weight gain, bloating, and fatigue on poor food choices during the holidays and seasonal depression. But she works out regularly and eats healthy for most meals. And as I mentioned to her, I’ve never been aware of her to be on her period the entire time that I’ve known her!
Aubrey claims that her IUD is to blame for having no period in all this time. But from what I’ve read, those devices are not a permanent birth control. They can and do sometimes fail, and need to be replaced after a few years! And a pregnancy would certainly explain all of her symptoms.
