Aubrey’s POV
As much as I liked to pretend that I was completely fine while Jude was around, and that I really didn’t need a man to take care of me, it was all just for show. In truth I was not fine at all.
I ended up taking two days off of work thanks to that annoying urinary tract infection. I had to drink so much liquid that I was basically running to the toilet all day and all night long! Plus the pain in my side combined with lack of sleep had put me in a horrible mood. One that would not be conducive to working with demanding clients, of which I knew I had a few scheduled during those two days. I sent an email asking my secretary to call them and to please reschedule.
