Aubrey’s POV
All I had wanted to do was use the bathroom before leaving the restaurant. That was it! I don’t know whether Beth had also needed to pee or what, but somehow both of us ended up in there one after another, and Beth decided to use the opportunity to confront me like some weird western movie shoot out, and giving me a dirty look as I headed into one of the stalls. And whatever she did, she was finished and waiting for me when I opened the door.
“Did you actually think you were helping me out there?” She asks sarcastically as I wash my hands. Then her tone turns bitter and ugly. “People without kids always think they know how to parent other people’s kids better than they do. But you don’t have a clue what it’s really like! So next time just stay out of my business!”
