Chapter 1

Aurora locked her eyes on the old clock above the blackboard. She felt as if the time was frozen. She analysed if it wasn't broken at all and compared it with the one on her wrist. Hell no! It was damn accurate. She desperately wanted the math teacher to leave. What was the big deal of learning math if all she ever desired was to be an actress? All was her mother's doing to make her join the corporate world in the future. All the Altamira members were into business but her as the black sheep, she wanted to be different and do something that didn't require maths. Become an actress in Spain. Asking Mrs Kristen questions that seem to never end wasn't in her favour to exhaust the two periods. She became more impatient when she saw how the nerds were actively in the lesson. She looked around and all she could hear from the hottest girls was prom night. The guys at the back were talking about the soccer games as usual. She rolled her eyes at them in disgust. Though she had been a cheerleader for almost six years, she hated soccer with passion. At long last, Aurora took her bag and went out of the classroom. She ambled down the hallway. People were gossiping and giving her nasty looks as always. Her relationship with Bruno was a headline that seem to never fade from their mouths. Even after several months of being together, nobody was used to the fact that Bruno left the Queen of Beverly Hills High for the sidekick. She ignored them and searched for Bruno with her eyes. Deep down, she was in regret of her actions that she should have rejected him but the silent love she had for him had to be amplified. She was dying each day without him and when he proposed four months back; she was set free from the burden of being unloved by her lover. Aurora turned the corner. There he was with his boys; Bruno waved and called her to come. "Willy." She called but she didn't greet his boys as they hated her and wouldn't respond. All thanks to Blanca who poisoned the whole school against her. "Hey you." Bruno hugged and gave her a kiss on the forehead. "I am so exhausted. I think I will skip practice." Aurora said letting go from his arms and they started walking. Bruno held her waist. "You're such a liar! I know that you no longer want to cheerlead." "Me? I am not lying." Aurora denied. "I know you. You're my girlfriend." Aurora rolled her eyes at him as they entered the players' locker room. "Sit over here." Bruno said showing her a bench. He took out his gear. He squatted before her and touched her legs. Aurora dropped her eyes to look at him. "The only reason you want to stop cheerleading is because of Blanca. She hates you and uses every opportunity to reduce you to nothing. Am I wrong?" Aurora sighed. "I feel bad about us. Everyone hates me for taking you from Blanca." "No, you didn't. I came to you. I don't care about what people say. What matters is what we feel for each other right?" Aurora rose and Bruno followed. "Yes I know but... Bruno touched her shoulders. "But nothing, I love you and I want to be with you." "I love you too Bruno. I can even spend the rest of my life with you." "But before that, I have something to tell you." Aurora's heart pondered. "What is it?" He had exceeded the three months but since he loved her, he thought it to be right to tell her the truth. "Months back I went to the bar with... Juan Pablo cut him. "Bruno, we have to get going." He didn't think it was the right time to tell Aurora. "I am coming, give me five...Aurora... "Willy you are scaring me. Do you want leave me?" Aurora asked with her heart ready to jump up and break. "No Rita, I love you and you alone. I mean it from the bottom of my heart. Aurora, when I approached you... "Dude, tell her to get the hell out!" A guy shouted as he shut his locker. All the other players were annoyed...why was the captain allowed to bring in his girlfriend...it was all rubbish. "Shut up Lucas! Come on guys, just this once. Please excuse us." Bruno said hoping they would agree. "Bruno, the coach is waiting." Another guy said as he got out. "Okay, look, after the big game on Friday, drinks are on me. I need only five minutes." Bruno said. "That's awesome man!" A guy cheered. "You can take all the time in the world. Let's get outta here and leave the lovebirds alone!" The players laughed thinking Bruno wanted to make up with Aurora in the change room. Afterwards they left. Aurora looked into Bruno's eyes. "If you win, I will give you a big gift after the big game!" Aurora promised him. "So now go out there and practice so you can make the whole school proud." "What about what I want to tell you?" Bruno shrugged his shoulders. "The scholarship matters more." Aurora insisted. She gave him a good luck kiss that every guy dreamt of getting. He took his water bottle from the adjacent bench. She laughed at him silently as he dragged his feet to the door. He turned around. He ran back to her. "I can't win without my biggest fun and favourite cheerleader." Bruno said and pulled her to go with him. "I guess I have to stand up against the Snow Queen!" They laughed as they walked down the hall. ~~~***~~~ The night was still young. The moon was glowing brightly. The ocean was very peaceful with nobody there. They walked down the beach holding hands. They arrived at a spot; a black blanket was placed down decorated with red roses, small white candles, expensive wine and other romantic delicacies. It was just like a movie, a romantic picnic in the evening moonlight by the beach. Aurora was amazed, truly overtaken. She loved his surprise so far. He helped her sit. "Now that you have won, please tell me the big matter." Aurora said. "That can wait. It is not as important as this." Bruno lied for he didn't want to ruin the amazing moment they were both having. He had waited months to finally get her. He gazed into her soul through her eyes. "I love you Aurora." Bruno confessed from the depth of his heart. "I have had the greatest moments of my life with you...in Las Vegas and all these other crazy places we have been together. I have been to different schools and I have dated many girls, beautiful for that matter but none of them make me feel what I have for you. I want the stars; the moon and the ocean to be witness to our love. You are the best thing in my life and- Aurora leaned forward and kissed him. Immediately, an electric current flew down her body to her stomach bursting into butterflies. "I want this night to be one of our best memories." She touched his left cheek and smiled. "You are also the best thing in my life Willy. I love you so much and please, please don't break my soul." He touched both her hands. "Believe you me, I will do anything for you to be happy. We have been together for four months now and I want this love to grow even bigger." Her cheeks reddened. "I also want that." Silence. He removed the hair that covered her pretty eyes and caressed her cheek, moved his fingers down her neck to her entire body. Her skin was heating up. Only the breeze of the wind cooled her body down. Many emotions ran through her body. She gently made a line on his cheek with her index finger and starred into his green eyes. The moon was reflecting their love for each other. The sound of the ocean moved with the rhythm of their heartbeats. He bent closer and brushed her lips. He gripped her waist. She curled her arms around his neck.
