I had never zoomed home so fast from the market before in my life. I’d have taken instant transportation but I had to be more discreet around the humans, which meant not leaving my car a twenty-minute drive from my house and mysteriously vanishing.
Instead of parking my truck out front, I swung it around to the back, where my Gator was parked. I hopped in it and followed Charlie and Charlotte as they traced a brightly-colored path in the woods.
