When I came in to work on Monday, Doris came to see me at my desk and asked me to come with her. She led me to an office near George’s. It’s less than half as small as George’s, but aside from the desk and office chair, there’s a couch adjacent to the door. There are also empty shelves and cabinets on the corner near the desk.
What’s impressive is the view behind the desk. The blinds are open and I could see the other buildings. The office is on the same side as George’s so my view is most likely similar to his, albeit at a different angle.
Belle: “Whose office is this?”
Doris: “It’s yours.”
Belle: “What? What do you mean it’s mine?”
Doris: “Your promotion comes with an office, Belle. You are now a manager, so you would need an office.”
I got teary-eyed, and could help it as I hugged
