“Yo, Pete. What’s going on” Shane whispered to Pete while the men were drinking in celebration.
“What do you mean?” Pete asked in confusion.
Shane looked around and led Pete to a quiet corner.
“What’s that on your hand?” he decided to start with the obvious as if he caught on to something.
“Why act so mysterious kiddo. It’s an award for best in class” Pete lied without any change in his expression. Shane was stunned at the answer.
“Do you think I’m stupid?” he raged the moment he recovered his composure.
“Shane listen. You are a good kid alright. But you must learn to control your curiosity else you could get in trouble” Pete said seriously and walked away.
Shane was deeply troubled since then, could it be that the new Sovereign was using them for something? Was
