Euodia couldn’t say she understood the Sage’s message but she didn’t regret her decision to save these people. If anything she felt displeased with her inability to save everyone. However, on her way to the carriage she noticed dead bodies everywhere, it didn’t need an expert to tell that they weren’t killed by beasts but by other humans… the sword wounds were a little too obvious to miss. As they approached the carriage waiting in the distance Euodia saw many teams of bandits waiting in ambush, the bandits were ambushing others like them who escaped from the town. The most depressing part was the fact that there was no one running, they were fully aware that they were being hunted by beasts but this was what they chose to do with the last moments of their lives.
