Chapter 13. This last time

There was silence for quite a while, and I wanted them to feel used and sort of sacrificed like I did when getting pushed into this whole thing. “It would be my honor,” Major Rude said. I was taken aback. "I'm sorry?" I said, he smiled, like really smiled, the big asshole Jack smiled with teeth and everything as if he was actually honored. “So would I” Helios was bowing his head, the same reaction but not really. “What is happening, why are you happy about this?” I was a little frightened that they just decided that it was a good idea. “But you chose us,” Helios stated. “Queen Nadia, you are aware that there are not that many females in the dragon realm?” Silas asked. I shook my head. “Not many females are born, so it is not weird that many females have multiple mates.” “I am so confused,” I added. “We will let you 3 discuss this in peace” the others left the room, and I was having a hard time breathing. Helios got up from the chair, extended his hand to mine. “Would you like to go for a walk?” I looked at the hand, I wanted to grab it and then again I didn’t. I stood up, finally able to get out of the chair. Major rude and Helios lead us to the courtyard. “Where would you like to go?” They pretty much just asked at the same time. “Anywhere but the castle grounds” I said, not too loud, I had a feeling I could be offending someone. Helios nodded and whistled. A massive brown dragon, with long whiskers, came down from the sky. “what about we go to the beach?” He asked. I whipped my head to look at him “you have beaches?” he looked taken aback, and jack pretty much slapped himself in the face. “Yes, I think it is high time we get you out of the castle grounds,” Jack said under his hand. My little dragon came running after us and looked up at the giant dragon before him. Helios got up on the dragon, Jack lifted me up toward him and Helios hoisted me the rest of the way. I was sitting behind helios when Jack jumped up on the dragon with mine in his arms. He sat behind me and I was now sandwiched between two very hunky men. I was only thinking about where to hold when the dragon took flight in a sudden jump, I grabbed a hold of Helios torso and was grabbed from behind by Jack. “Watch it man, she could have been hurt. '' We got into the air, and the speed subsided. Looking down I could see the town, the roads, fields, you name it. We flew in silence when the dragon descended slowly and landed. Helios stayed on the dragon, Jack jumped off and sat mine on the ground. He gestured for me to jump into his arms, and I was probably going to say no, but I did not have much choice in the matter, cause Helios pretty much pushed me down. Jack caught me in a laugh and sat me down on the ground, I was holding on to his neck for dear life even when my feet hit the ground, my heart was pounding, he had just pushed me off a freaking dragon. “I don't mind, but you should probably let go” Jack's voice was teasing me. I let go of his neck, and was about to get walking when Jack grabbed my hand, and Helios the other. We walked a bit and then I saw the pink beach and the sky blue waters. It was mesmerizing. Helios dragon took off and mine just went around us playing with everything and nothing. We walked a short while, onto the sand when Helios broke the silence “Why choose us?” He asked, I was not going to lie. “So you could feel how it is to be completely powerless when someone has a whim” Jack swallowed hard. “I did not know you were going to say yes, let alone be happy about it.” I said looking down on my feet as we walked around in the sand. “Why would we not be happy?” Jack asked, I tossed him a you know why look, and he cleared his throat. “I am beyond happy to be your mate Nadia” Helios said, I looked at him and raised an eyebrow “no queen anymore?” He looked confused. “There are no titles between mates nadia, only nicknames” Jack said, not looking at me but just looking out into the world. “You are nice and all. Now anyway. But I can't be your mate” I said, actually feeling pain in my chest. Helios yanked hard in my arm and spun me around to face him. “Why?” He asked with pleading eyes. “To protect you” I said, and that was the actual truth. “From what?” Jack asked behind me. I took a deep breath. “I am the messenger of death, or something like that, anyone and everyone I sincerely care about end up dying, sometimes I don't even have to care about them, just be near them for an extended amount of time” Helios took a deep breath and crouched down. “Thank god it's only that” I got angry when he said that, I was genuinely worried for their safety and he was laughing about it. “Nadia” Jack's arms folded around me from behind. He squeezed me into his body, the warmth and his heartbeat swallowed my anger completely, when I looked up behind me, his face looked right at mine, he smiled and my breath hitched. He leaned in closer and kissed my forehead. I was on the verge of crying when Helios got up, placed his hands on my hips and got real close too. I could heartily breathe, he kissed my forehead just like Jack did, their heartbeats pounding at me. “Your curse is no more,” Helios said. Jack squeezed my belly with his arms when he could feel I flinched. “When you found your dragon you survived your curse, even if you hadn't when you turned 27, you would have survived the trial of the curse anyway.” My eyes started watering, and I didnt want them to see so I looked down, and ended up burying my face in Helios' chest. I started crying, and all they did was stand there while Helios kept his hands on my hips, and Jack would squeeze me from time to time. “So I have a question.” After some time, probably 10 minutes or so, I calmed down and I couldn't help myself. “How weird is it to stand with your face so close to another man that you could literally kiss each other?” I asked half jokingly. “Would you like us to kiss?” Helios asked as I looked up, I was taken aback. "What?" I looked back at jack. “It would not be the first time” he smiled and I was so confused. Helios and Jack both let go of me but only to grab my hands again. We started walking again, smiling, me still confused. “Like females have heats,” Helios started “Males have ruts, but these ruts come from when you meet your dragon” he stated. “Both Jack and I found out about dragons in the beginning of the academy” I was a little confused, what academy and how long had these two known one another. “How old were you when you started at the academy?” I was not really entirely sure I wanted to know. “14” Jack said, "I was astounded. “So when my first Rut started, I found out that we exclude some sort of odor called pheromones that would attract females, and I smelled one, I followed the scent in my horny haze and found Helios in a shed on campus. He was” Jack stopped and smiled, I looked at helios he sighed with a smile and continued the story. “I was pleasing myself, Jack came in and after that we would go there doing out ruts, and some time passed and we started helping one another. not wanting to give out virginity to anyone other than our mate” I was dumbfounded. “So you never like, put it in?” I was actually interested. “not even in the mouth little mate” Jack said in my ear, I winced back and hit Helios. He caught me and laughed. “no one actually knows we did that” Jack said, “Still do” Helios continued. I got big eyes. “So we are happy that you want us as your mates, I was even happier that you wanted both of us” Helios said with a smile, he stopped and turned me towards him. “I am a little sad that you chose us as revenge though” he said as he placed his hand on my cheek, I hitched my breath and felt really bad about it, I could make a joke stating that I could have gotten more revenge with taking Jules but I didn't actually feel like it, felt like I would harm them more. “I'm sorry” I said, not wanting to look in his eyes, I turned away, let go of them and started walking with my arms around myself. Why would I need to feel so awful when they had definitely done so much worse to me then I have to them. It was not fair that I was feeling this much despair when they probably don't feel anything from hurting me. A hand grabbed me and turned me around, I landed smack into Jack's chest. He put one arm around my waist and the other hand he put on my cheek, kindly forcing me to look at him. “I am sorry” he said, tears in his eyes, so close to falling from his face. “That I hurt you, and did so many unforgivable things, no person should ever go through” He said, in a low husky voice sounding like he was forcing himself to speak when his body would not let him. “but” he continued, looking me straight in the eyes. “I am happy about your revenge, cause it means I get to spend the rest of my life as your mate showing you how I should have treated you all along.” He smiled at the end, he wiped away a tear falling from my eye with his thumb. Helios stood behind Jack, they were almost equally tall. He wrapped his arms around Jack and then me. “I am sorry too” he said, burying his head in Jack's shoulder “please forgive us. This last time.” His voice was almost non existing. I had a hard time answering so I went for the next best thing, I wrapped my arms around these two massive men, or I tried at least. That is the last thing I remember before I fall asleep. standing.
