CHAPTER TWO The Big Black Iron gate opened, Eaul drove in with Eve sitting behind him. Looking at the building alone, fear surged through Eve’s body. Something in her screams Fear. Her cries increased, weaknesses exposed. She doesn’t like this. There’s something about this place that doesn’t feel right she thought, she knows she was doomed if she was left in this house by Eaul. As they parked in, Eaul turned, Giving her what looks like the final glance. Looking at his face, she knows he was sorry for his actions. Eve has already accepted these parts. She knows his actions was to save his life and his family. She didn’t beg anymore, she just watch with tears in her eyes. He got down, taking a step back from the car as two of the guards approached, each dressed in full black with a red hat, this was their uniform, but why’s there red, perhaps because of their cult, Eaul thought. Since his serving in Mr Adams house. He had always known black to be the uniform everyone wears. And now seeing red on their heads feels strange to him. As they approached, They commanded him to open up the car. He did as he was told immediately. Where’s she ??? One of them asked harshly. Here !! He replied, opening the back door, trembling. They peeped in the car. After seeing Eve, they gave out a signal to the other members. In a short time, they dragged Eve down from the vehicle, untying her legs and her mouth with the rope that was used by Eaul. Leaving just her hands. Eve didn’t complain, she just stood still. Eaul watched them silently, already feeling sorry for his action. But what can he do ?? When they were done with the rope, they instructed them both to move. With their directions, Eaul and Eve moved into the house, Eaul tried too hard to hide down his fear. Not wanting to show weakness to them, but it was showing boldly in his face. They took Eve in, the other guard pushing Eaul to a little made house that’s just at the corner of the house. Not seeing Eaul close to her made her shiver. He was her last hope, the only person that’s meant to protect her in this situation. As they took her in, making her kneel at the center of the room. She noticed everything about the room is either red or Black. Not like where she’s used to. While in her father’s house, she had thought the Mafias and the cult group are similar to each other. Her father’s house was black. Everything about it is all black, and now, seeing the way here is designed made her confused. She noticed a skeleton head placed on the table. It terrifies her the more. The sound of a gun shot and a man screaming jerked her out from her thoughts. She had always hated gun, even though her father and brother use it frequently. She hates seeing them too and her father had always made sure she doesn’t get to see one or find him using one. He had always kept his dirty business hidden from her. And now there’s a gunshot in this place. Fear gripped her, another shot came again and the man scream increased. This time she heard it clearly. That’s Eaul’s voice, she recognized. Her eyes widened with fear “What are they doing to him???! Oh my God !!!” She panick silently. Two more gunshots echoed through the air. The screaming voice went quiet. She knew something had happened. He might have been killed. If only he had agreed to her plan of running away. Cold chilled ran through her chest. Who was going to save her now??? Her last hope is gone. Weak and exhausted, she laid flat on the floor with her hands still tied. And slowly she drifted to sleep. Opening her eyes after few hours of sleeping. She realize she wasn’t in that room anymore, she was in another, placed in a soft bed. The room was very furnished. Everything was well kept as if it has been organized for a female. How did she get here?? Or did she unknowingly entered this room??? A lot of questions flooded her head. She remembered she had fallen asleep somewhere but not in this place. And now she’s on this bed with her hands untied. She stood up from the bed and walked to the window. Seeing heavily men outside, she hurriedly closed back the curtain and went back to bed. She thought about her Dad, her brother, Eaul and everyone in the house. Did Eaul actually told her the truth??? Is her Dad and brother actually dead ?? She knows they would be looking for her if it wasn’t true. But Eaul would never lie about something like that. Thinking about the whole situation, tears fell freely from her eyes. What will happen to her life now?? Will someone save her?? Will she die ??? All these questions kept popping in her mind. The sound of the door handle snapping open snapped her back to reality. She went rigid as the door swung inward, her heart hammering while she stared at the towering silhouette in the doorway. He moved forward cautiously, each step deliberate and regal, as though the floor itself were fragile beneath him. She knew him at once, Damian. Four years had passed since she'd last seen him, and the transformation was stark. He looked aged beyond his years, his skin covered in ink, a striking skull design etched prominently across his neck, his facial hair thicker than she remembered. His eyes locked onto Eve, concealing contempt beneath a deceptively calm expression. She saw through the facade but said nothing. Part of her yearned to plead for forgiveness for her father's actions, yet she also knew Damian had already exacted his own vengeance. He had demolished everything that brought her joy. Their pain was mutual, their wounds equally deep. Gazing at him, she understood the truth. This was not the boy she once knew, not the companion she'd played with as a child. He had become someone unrecognizable. Then, in that cruel moment, he finally broke the silence. "Shower, get dressed, and come downstairs for dinner. Everything you need is here," he announced, his voice carrying across the room. Eve parted her lips to reply, but no sound emerged. the words seemed trapped somewhere inside her. She inhaled deeply, shutting her eyes briefly before opening them again. "I'm not hungry," she managed at last. "I wasn't asking. Whether you're hungry is irrelevant. If you want to survive, you'll follow my instructions precisely," he replied, his tone unyielding. Eve bristled at being ordered around, it infuriated her. Why did he have the right to command her? Since when was eating compulsory? She exhaled silently. But seeing the gravity in his expression, she nodded fearfully. Confusion overwhelmed her. Her brow furrowed, terror evident in her eyes. She offered no further resistance, remaining silent as she watched him exit the room.
