My first session with my therapist had just ended. He said I had partial amnesia and that I had recalled the memories I had forgotten before my car accident. Finally I knew it was a car accident but they still didn't know what the cause was or how it happened and it was now up to me to recall that part cause apparently no one knew how it had happened. Luckily, he mentioned I hadn't lost the knowledge I had already been aware of so I could continue with school as soon as I was discharged. What difference could it make. I could not even recall how my first day as a senior college student had gone. I had lost a whole year of my life. Okay, maybe almost a year.
