Days passed, then came weeks, all we did was ignore each other. We spoke to each other when duty called for it, we attended meetings together but just noticed one another's presence and ignored everything entirely. I had grown used to the situation and I didn't easily get affected anymore. It was Saturday and since I had no work, I decided to visit my parents for the weekend and then return Sunday evening or night. I heard my phone ring so I picked up before checking the caller ID.
"Darling, will you be here for lunch?" I heard the soothing sound of my mum's voice.
"Yes, please mum. I will be their by eleven I guess." I replied.
"Okay, see you then. I can't wait to see you, my dear."
