Chapter 12. Captain Pump Sam noticed that the stream running through the cave hardly had the energy to move. Inside, the cave had smooth gray walls and a poorly shaped wharf. Sam thought the cave and wharf looked slightly melted, as though no one had bothered to finish them. Stranger still, a sleek wooden ship about one hundred feet long with the name Daisy painted on the stern floated a few feet above the cave floor. The ship bobbed slightly in rhythm with the air currents passing through the cave. Curiously, Sam saw no masts or sails on the ship.
