MEETING FOR THE FIRST TIME

bro I want you to meet my new girlfriend'

now that is the first thing that Jordan said to me the moment he barge in to my office. It is not a new thing but I don't know if I will ever get us to it every time he dose that. I return back to my paper work and nonchalantly answered him.

'no I don't have time to meet with your new girlfriend which by the way change every week'

He stare at me for a few seconds before he sit down on the chair before me he looks composed and seriously I won't lie I hardly see him that way.an and it kind of look strange

'look Hawk I know when it comes to women I don't have good reputation in fact am the worst buy this one is different from the rest she is kind, polite, cheerful, very mature, intelligent, smart sexy beautiful you name it! she is the woman every man will dream of and this time for real in wanna keep her'

he said finishing his long speech while I keep nodding my head telling him am listening to whatever it is he is saying. So I ask him question that comes to my mind.

'what about gold diggers? are you not afraid she might be one of the many women after your money?

'man were you deaf all this while? Jesus! I practically told you she is an independent woman and she is strong she presently works for Lexington Company she have a high position there. it and she started from the scratch all she have gain is by her hard works..... seriously you would like her if you meet her please Hawk you are my family just do this for me , tell me you would come and see her?

Ever since I knew Jordan that's like childhood he hardly ever beg me to met with any of his girls he hardly introduce them to me. And how could I say no to him , trust me I don't want to but the way he talk and practically pleaded with me that enough would make me go.

'sure just tell me where to go and what time to come and I will be there'

I said with a smile he first look at me with a doubt but when I give him the pinky finger for a pinky swear the look on his face is priceless and it said it all, he practically leap out of the chair and start jumping up and down while fist bumping the air without even taking my pinky finger for the swear.

'thank you man I will text you the place and time later on' 

he said and ran like a crazy man well he is if he is in love like he claim to be. 

I would meet the girl as for character I will be the one to judge I just shake my head and continue with my paper work. 

Not even after a minutes I receive a call from my secretary 

'yes Michelle '

'Williams one of your worker's f****d up and we lost the Treasure Bridge project with LC'

'what? say that again! no don't even say that again his can we lose such a huge deal just like that ? bring that incompetent fool to my office ! no don't do it because I might murder him myself'

I frantically yell, I can't blame myself right now because it a three billion deal and someone mess it up for me. I need to stop getting angry and think.

'look Michelle I don't know how you will do it but please book an appointment with whoever is in charge of the project and it shouldn't exceed today and cancel all scheduled for today'

I practically order my secretary before packing my stuff and walking out if my office I March down to the department I handed down the project to them.

The moment the saw me the could read the anger on my face and tried to avoid any form of contact with me . On a normal day I am a cold and strict boss but today is worse . when I enter the department I went straight to the manager

'I will not repeat myself again so think twice before answering my question. Who is the person the went to meet with LC for the deal'

I coldly ask him the poor man is already shivering and he couldn't answer me 

'answer me?

I roar the whole office stand still and all eyes are fixate on us 

'it..it..it ..w...was Mr.H..H..Henry.....'

'where the hell is the Henry?he should come before me now ?

He tall hunky guy stand before me with his gaze on the ground 

'explained'

'Boss we went to the meeting place and they were not there! we wait for them until the restaurant is closed and that was like seven hours and so we left and I don't know why the cancel the deal but it was not our fault'

'now I will not ask if you are lying or not but if what you said is a lie make sure before I unfold your lies you packed all your garbage and leave before I catch you. Because first I don't work with Losers and secondly no one is allow to lie to my face'

I work with a lot of people and for many years I understand that people tend to lie for selfish reasons or just to get rid of their rivals and for so many reason but I will just believe anything he said to me because I was not there and I do not know what transpire there.

I could finally see the fear on his face and that satisfy me , with that I turn and walk away not sparing any single minute to listen to their murmurings and gossip.

I walk straight to my car just as I am about to enter a call from Michelle came 

'tell me any update?

'you're lucky I save your ass Williams I manage to book an appointment with LC CEO and w you should be ready in the next twenty minute the venue is at the coffee shop that is fifteen minute away from here you better hurry your ass'

Without waiting for her to end the call I did it myself and put my phone in my suit pocket. I enter my car and quickly Zoom off. On my way I don't know how many road rule I have broken. but I over speed, thankfully the police did not stop me and there is no traffic and when I arrived I have seven minute to spare.

But I park my car at the entrance of the shop which is prohibited. So I had to drive my car around the whole parking space looking for a spot and I found one at the extreme of the parking lot and that took three good minute of my time.

I walk out of my car and move toward the entrance of the shop just when I am about to open the door the worst actually happen a lady who I assumed is coming out of the shop actually collide with me making her coffee to spill over her hot coffee on us 

'am sorry!'

'watch where you are going!

we both said instantly few head rise up to see the fuse going on but I look I sent there ways make them lower their head down.

Now forget about been late how!how can I go to a meeting with a big brown stain on my white shirt. And talking about the cause of it I see her removing a handkerchief from her purse and tried to wipe the stain off my shirt but I said push her hands aggressively away from my body.

'do not use you filthy hands and touch my body ever!

'am so sorry...I would pay for the mess!'

She softly say to me and I swear it makes me boil more in anger. Just how dare she?

'you think you can pay for the mess that you have done? newsflash you can not! you know why because this is not about the shirt which I know you cannot pay for it, right now I also have a meeting which am already late and now I have a stain on my shirt all thanks to you. so I don't think you will ever be able to repay me and someone like you can never understand the .......'

'Noe excuse me Mr.Man first I apologize to you and secondly it can't only be my fault alone because if you were actually watching where you were going then we could have avoid this mess, thirdly I also have a minute in this shops and take a good look at my dress shirt it also stain with coffee! my coffee which I bought with my own money and lastly I offered you a compensation which you denied so do not utter more rubbish out of your mouth because it doesn't suit you'

She spew all that word with a glare that can kill anyone but it dose not faze me not even for a minute I tried to say something but she signal me with her hands 

'no don't stop uttering rubbish judging from the way you dressed you look like a arrogant rich bastard who cares about money and not humanity who cares about themselves and look down on others. so keep on because it actually suit you a lot'

She said and pushed me back before turning in to the shop and turn to a corner which I assume is the washroom, not minding the stares she is getting from other people.

I stood there speechless is little of what am feeling not only did she ruined my meeting she have the audacity to embarrassed and insult me publicly! on a normal day I would have let it go but today am not letting it go she will definitely pay for it. But that is not my priority right now. I need to think of way to meet with LC Rep again.

I followed the direction she took not minding the random looks from the people. I saw four stall and I randomly entered one and the first thing that welcome Mei's the shriek of a lady. And when I raised my head to look at the person I don't know what to say because she is only in her lady suit slacks and she is wearing a lacy bra that is showing her breast which is...

'eyes up here! what are you doing in here?

'same thing you are in here for! '

I had to play it cool and pretend as if I was not looking at her breasts earlier 

'well these is the ladies washroom you pervert!'

she shriek again and cover her chest with her dress shirt. At first I was confuse but I quickly realize that just like many she also thought I am a man due to my Short and style haircut, my six feet height , my muscular structure and my dressing really confuse a lot of people. I internally jump because I am going to take advantage of that.

'what? can't I see and appreciate beautiful women'

I said with a smirk and pull if my jacket slowly the look on her face is priceless, gone is the confident and sharp woman. Now the frighten look on her face tells me it working . So unbutton four of my button instantly and make way toward her

she whispered and move backward away from me but I unbutton my shirt all and walk close to her

I said and take a step toward her thus time she was silent and when I raise my head, she is pressed to the counter and her body is shaky and shivering her eyes are shut with tears streaming from them and her hair is messy and scatter.

I felt bad dir what I did

I said softly in my weak attempt to calm her down but I make it worst because I see her breath quicken more and she is in a panic mode and I don't know how to calm her down so I did the only thing that comes to my mind I hug her tightly which kind of worsen it but after whisper is soft sorry and assuring her that I am a woman she finally calm down and instantly she push me away and turn to the other direction and put on her shirt and buttoning them before wearing her jacket and wash her face then wipe it and reapply her makeup. she pick her purse and remove a wad of dollars and place it on the counter that I was leaning on awkwardly and her blank looks is not helping matters 

'Hawk Williams'

I muttered due to nervousness she only nod her head.

'I will never forget the owner of this name and face and voice' 

she said and turn away from me she open the door of the stall and pause

'do not ever do these again to any woman' she said and swiftly leave the stall leaving me alone feeling ashamed of what I just did to her. My mind was running in turmoils I did not know I was lost until the sound of my phone ringing brought me back to reality. 

'Yes Michelle?

'Boss LC postponed the meeting due to some emergency but tomorrow you will meet them at LC by 6:00pm'

'OK thank you andi won't be back today just leave whenever you're done with your work'

I ended the call not bothering to hear her response I key out a sigh of relive that means I still have a chance to get the contract. I did not bother to do what brought me to the washroom in the first place I just pick up my jacket and make way to my car 

and I saw a speeding ticket on my seat I just chuckle before I entered and drive off to my family home something I rarely do.

When I reach the gate the door automatically open up for me to to through, I had a drive of ten minute before reaching the main house well Mansion if you can call it. I park my car and I enter the house the first person that sees me is old Freda . 

'oh mine! Hawk? is that you? you look different!

she exclaim excitedly I walk toward her and hug her.

'look at you you've grown taller than the last time I saw you? 

'come on Freda you saw me two months ago!

I said mumble with a soft voice I heard her sigh

she is one of the oldest maid around she started working for us since I was seven years old. And now am Twenty Eight years old . That is 

Twenty two years, she is the close person I have apart from Jordan.

after she disengage from the hug she state at me with a disgusting look and I know what will follow next.

'Hawk look at you! you have not been eating healthy food , you look like a wreck and what's with the coffee stench and smell?

she ask all questions in one sentence I tried to explained but she push me making me laugh lightly

'I don't want to know! just go and take a bath and change that smelly clothes I going to prepare food for you'

she pushed me and walk straight to the kitchen while I jog upstairs to the third floor where my room is , I quickly strip out if my cloth and went straight to the shower. after spending almost twenty minute in the shower , I came out feeling refresh and clean and my mind is calm a little . I put on my pant with boxers on top and wear my black singlet. I pick up my black kappa jogger and shirt not bother about drying my hair or rubbing cream over my body. I wear my slipper and went straight to the kitchen where Freda is still cooking lunch for me I sat on the chair which grab her attention.

'you are done?'

'yes am clean and fresh with no trace of disgusting coffee smell on me'

I answered her with a cheeky smile and she smile back at me. After few minute the food is done and by the scent I know what she cook.My favourite spaghetti and meatball. she filled my plate with food and place it before me .

'eat up my child' she said an pat my head . when she feel the wetness of my head she kind of glare at me but soften her gaze a little.

' sorry I forget'

I mumble and keep shoving the food into my mouth but she keep telling me to slow down while she clean the items she used. 

When I finished eating I turn her

'am going to rest for a bit wake me up when it dinner I promised to hang out with you all night'

I said with a long kiss on the cheek I made my way back to my bedroom I lay flat on my back and close my eyes but a certain face keep coming to my mind. The lady from the coffee shop , I could vividly see her face and her body . I keep tossing around until my artistic self kick in and I had to go to my study pick up my sketching book and pencil. I start sketching her. At first her figures was blurry but the more I sketch the more the became clear to me and the more I feel the touch of her body on me when I hugged her. Her body is small and thin . her skin is soft and warm her hair is dark brown and thick her eyes is green as the forest and her lips are heart shape and pick and everything came down at once And I don't know his long I have been sketching but when I look at my work It was some took a picture of her , my heart skip a beat . and I realize I do not know her name but I do known that I will not forget her face and voice.

And as I succumb to my sleepiness something tells me I will see her again, with a smile I close me eyes and let the sleep take over.
